Beautiful, immaculate garage kept, 2004 Grand Prix GTP Super Charged sedan. Fairly new tires and (4) new brakes and rotors (drilled & slotted). A recent 4 wheel alignment and tire rod ends replaced. Vehicle has 157,000 hwy miles and drives great. I have out of town check stubs for 2 1/2 years of 150 mile a day commutes. If you do a little research on these vehicles you will find they all have had these problems from the factory that I have already replaced : upper and lower intake manifold, valve cover gaskets, fuel injectors, water pump, and plastic coolant elbows. The transmission filter and fluid recently changed and always at every 20,000 miles, fuel filter every 15,000 and oil every 3000 miles (mostly synthetic)and supercharger fluid has been flushed and refilled every 25,000 miles. The antifreeze has been flushed recently and every 2 years with factory specific coolant.

Just be informed that a less mileage vehicle (Grand Prix) is not always the best deal than a well maintained high mileage vehicle.  The intake manifolds and valve covers are difficult to change and are factory made with plastic and substandard material.  I have replaced the lower intake with steel gaskets and felpro gaskets.  Just know what your looking for when purchasing this type of vehicle, they are great cars and the 3800 pontiac engine is known to last well over 250,000 with the proper care.

It comes with old fuel injectors, 4 rotors, 2 new OEM and 2 drill slotted(used) most old parts were kept. I would love to say it is perfect but it is not as there are a couple small dings, glove box hold up latch is broken and the back seat headrest has indent due to child safety seat strap. This car has been driven all over Texas and never left me stranded but I've had it 8 years and in the market for a new car.

Interior seats have not rips, signs of wear or tears. Dash is also perfect. There is small rip/hole (1/4 inch) on the back interior door panel. The exterior paint has a  showroom shine as this vehicle gets waxed every couple of months and has been garaged daily. I can submit additional pictures at your request. Thanks for looking!!

Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.

Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.
