2004 Pontiac Sunfire, Salvage Title, Great Commuter Car, 30 MPG, 4 Cyl., Manual 5 Speed, 4 New Tires, Complete New A/C System- Compressor, Dryer, Filter, ect., New Starter,  Front end alignment, New  ball joints, New Battery, Car in great mechanical condition, Very Dependable, Drive Anywhere. NO RESERVE.

I got this car about a year and a half ago with front end problems and would not start.
I needed a commuter car at the time and this car fit the bill.
I replaced the starter and the battery, changed the fluids, tuned it up, and got it running perfect.
Started driving it and after about a week the A/C went out and the front end was pulling to one side.
So I had the entire A/C system and front bushings, ball joints replaced. Then had the front end aligned.
I drove it for seven months and then put 2 new tires on the rear,
drove it a couple more weeks and then put 2 new tires on the front.
Put a sony xplod CD player in it.
I spent about $2400.00 In parts and repairs. (Plus the price I paid for the car itself.)
I used it for about 8 months total, back and forth form work (100 miles a day) untill the job played out.
The car preformed perfect. Got 30+ MPG on a consistent basis.
The car has just under 100K miles on it. Runs and Drives Great.
NOW, I don't need it any more.
So rather than let it sit and go to waste, I'm going to pass it on to someone who needs a dependable car.
Every thing that was wrong with the car when I got it has been fixed and it needs nothing to be someones daily driver.

With all that said- The car is for sale "as is where is" no guarantees expressed or implied.
I have clear salvage title in my name ready to sign over to the new owner.
This car has a SALVAGE TITLE.

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes

Thu, 10 May 2012

When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.

STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM

Fri, 16 Oct 2009

Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.

GM recalls 61k more vehicles in three campaigns

Sun, 05 Oct 2014

Following a stop-delivery order for its new midsize trucks and a rash of recent recalls, General Motors is issuing three more campaigns covering 60,575 vehicles in North America with 57,182 of them in the US. As of October 1, the automaker has issued a total of 74 recalls (see the ridiculously long chart to the right) this year covering 26,495,070 units in the US.
The largest campaign covers 46,873 examples in the US of the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle imported from Australia. It's possible for the driver's knee to hit the key and make it move from the "Run" to "ACC" position while driving. GM says its Holden division is developing a fixed-blade key that's supposed to fix the problem by only allowing it to rotate toward the "On" position. There has been one crash caused by this fault but no injuries or fatalities.
The second recall is for 10,005 units of the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V because "the fuel pump module electrical terminal may overheat." This can cause a flange to melt and allow the pump to leak fuel. GM specifies that the remedy for the CTS-V is replacing the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, but it doesn't specify how the STS-V is being repaired.
