1976 TRANS AM, BLACK WITH BLACK INTERIOR, PONTIAC 400, AT. THIS CAR WAS STORED FOR 30 YEARS AND JUST RECENTLY GOTTEN OUT OF STORAGE. THE GAS TANK HAD TO BE DRAINED AND INSTALL A NEW FUEL PUMP. ALSO PUT 4 NEW TIRES ON. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL 1976 TITLE THAT SHOWS O MILES THAT I COPIED BEFORE I WENT TO THE DMV. I BELIEVE THAT THE HOOD AND TOP OF THE RIGHT FENDER WERE REPAINTED AT SOME POINT-THAT PAINT IS CRACKING. THE PAINT ON THE CAR HAS SOME ROCK CHIPS, SCRATCHES AND DOOR DINGS. AND THE LEFT REAR QUARTER HAS A DING IN THE TOP OF THE QUARTER-BUT OVERALL THE CAR IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THE RIGHT FRONT AND REAR AIR DAMS BOTH HAVE CRACKS IN THEM. THIS CAR WOULD NEED A PAINT JOB AND A NEW EXHAUST-IT APPEARS TO BE THE ORIGINAL EXHAUST FROM THE FACTORY, STILL HAS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND THE 2 CHROME TIPS COMING DOWN ON THE BACK. THE ONLY RUST I CAN FIND ON THIS CAR IS 2 SPOTS-1 IS ON THE PASSENGER REAR QUARTER WHERE THE PAINT IS A LITTLE BUBBLY ABOUT THE SIZE OF A NICKEL-JUST SURFACE RUST. ON THE LOWER DRIVERS DOOR THERE IS ALSO A SMALL AREA -ABOUT THE SIZE OF A NICKEL-JUST SURFACE RUST. HAS GOLD DECALS ON THE CAR. THE INTERIOR IS ALL BLACK-THE SEATS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE-THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT RIBBON HAS SOME WEAR MARKS. THE SEAT CUSHIONS ARE FINE. HEADLINER IS FINE. THE SUNVISORS ARE FINE. THE SUNVISOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE STILL HAS THE WARNING LABEL FOR THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THE DASH HAS 1 SMALL CUT ABOVE THE RADIO-SHOWN IN PICS. THE GLOVE BOX DOOR IS FADED. THE CONSOLE HAS 3 SMALL SPOTS THAT LOOK LIKE CIGARETTE BURNS. CARPET IS FINE. THE TRUNK STILL HAS THE SPARE TIRE AND THE JACK MOUNTED. NO RUST IN THE TRUNK. THERE ARE NO LEAKS. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. THE ODOMETER SHOWS 3188- I DON'T KNOW IF ITS 3188 OR 103188. I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN THIS CAR TO COME AND LOOK AT IT. I HAVE A LIFT AT MY HOUSE TO SEE THE UNDERNEATH. THERE ARE ONLY 2 THINGS THAT HAVE EVER BEEN DONE TO THIS CAR-THE RADIO WAS REPLACED AND AN ALARM SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED ON IT IN 76 OR 77. UNFORTUNATELY, I DON'T HAVE MUCH HISTORY ON THE CAR. THIS IS ALL I KNOW. THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS-NO WARRANTY- FEEL FREE TO EMAIL QUESTIONS. BUYER RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING COSTS OR PICK UP.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.
Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.
This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod
Fri, 21 Feb 2014There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.
