Up for bid is my 1978 TA that I have had for 10 years. Headquaters (wife) is tired of parking her new car outside so something has to go. I bought the car from a builder in Arizona and he does nothing but Trans Ams and does them well. This car is a SE clone but he did not miss a thing.. I think the car was originally Gold but you would never know it. All the proper SE emblems are there .....SE stripes we redone about a year ago...visually its the real deal. I have had low mileage collectable cars over the years but was never comfortable driving them...this one I made my own and built it to drive and from the pics you can see .I drive it to shows....Crusin The Coast several times...I use it. Paint is good ...not show car perfect but a very nice driver...about a 7.5-8 out of 10. I added the Year One fiberglass nose andYear One flush mount fiberglass fender flares ...they fit perfect and look great. Added LED tailights which are very cool and very bright. The wheels were redone a few years back and are powdercoated. INTERIOR is mostly stock....I added Recaro seats because I am 6 ft 5 and wanted my seat to recline...very comfortable... AM FM CD USB and all that stuff in the Radio...amp and 6x9's in the rear. ENGINE AND TRANNY...here is where it gets fun...455 ci...30 over.....Kaufman (KRE) aluminum high ports heads...full hydrolic roller motor...no expense spared...FAST EFI system....what a difference in the way it drives with the EFI . Some of the motor pics show the car with Edelbrock heads and a Victor intake...when I went to the FAST EFI system I changed heads and intake and it made more power.. DYNO at 510 hp and 575 tq.... made 575 at like 3k ..have dyno sheet just have not looked at it latley. The Super T 10 4spd is new...motor and tranny have about 3000 miles on them.It had a Rodney REd alum radiator with 2 elec fans.. I am sure I am forgetting something and just put the add together with pics i had laying around so if you want something else or have a question please ask....check my feedback and bid with confidence...GOOD LUCK

Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative
Tue, 29 Oct 2013How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC
Thu, 06 Feb 2014We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.
GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
