Up for sale at NO RESERVE is a very nice 10th Anniversary Trans Am. This car is a numbers matching car that has rebuilt  transmission. These cars came fully loaded from the factory with all the power options available at the time windows, locks, trunk etc. as well as air conditioning, turbo wheels., red -illuminated gauges and also the WS6 performance package to highlight a few of the many options these cars were fitted with. This car is an excellent driver.

The paint and striping look GREAT. The frame, floor pan and trunk pan are all in great condition, no rust issues at all. The mirrored T-Tops are in great condition, the interior is also in great condition. Minor discoloring but no rips at all. The headliner is in great condition as well. Newer battery as well.

I have the original build sheet and window sticker. Original T-top bags as well. There is a truck full of paperwork on this car when anything was done on it, as well as manuals and tec books. The spare tire is original and never has air. The blue "air charger" is there as well in original condition.

**  Last of the great 2nd Gens, and a limited production car with matching #s & original build sheet and window sticker.  Perfect for collector or Pontiac enthusiast.

The car came from Georgia then to Texas to my father then to me that is it. SO only a TWO OWNER CAR.

You can get in the car drive away with no worries at all. This is a nice driving car that could use some small items here an there but nothing major at all.

The car is always garage kept with a cover on it.

I have this car for sale locally as well, so I might end auction early. No warranties expressed or applied.

You can have the car shipped at your expense and you must set up to pick up at my house. NO returns excepted. CASH and carry.

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern

Mon, 07 Nov 2011

General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.
