1979 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition Y84 Car - No Reserve
Included in the sale are the documents from the Pontiac Historical Society that confirm and document this car is a true Y84 Special Edition
I have recently sold several Trans Am's (some on Ebay) as I am relocating and no longer will have storage for the cars.
This is a true SE T-Top black exterior camel velour interior all original car. The body is in good condition though the paint has faded from exposure over the years. The car has been stored inside for the past several years but the sun damage has been done. The interior structure is good but the seats will need to be recovered due to stains and becoming brittle due to exposure. The car has only a few spots of surface rust on the roof and the tops of the door. The structure of the car is good and the tail panel is good which is very good sign as these are the first to go. The dash had the original gold bezel and gold spoke steering wheel. I moved the car into the most recent indoor storage in 2010 at which time I drove it in. I only had to charge the battery and put a little gas in the carb to getting it intially started after it had previously been in storage for several years. The shaker is no longer with the car. At some point plastic was taped over to shaker hole to prevent dust to collect onto of the engine, that's why there's residue around the shaker hole. I will be moving the car this week away from the wall and will be adding additional pictures of the passenger side, rear, and undercarriage. If you would like addtional pictures or have any questions please email. If you would like to view the car arraingments can be make.
The car must be picked up no later than 7 days following the end of the auction. This is a no exemption.
A $200 non-refundable deposit must be paid via paypal with 24 hours of auction ending. The remaining balance must be paid via cash/certified check within 7 days of the auction ending.

GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero
Fri, 26 Oct 2012At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."
This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod
Fri, 21 Feb 2014There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.
