1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA Notchback 1 of 624 made for US 94 made for Canada less the 300 left Very Very rare car, all original and stock to my knowledge, it starts every time, no leaks ,  just had a complete transmission service filter gasket fluid etc, new oil change and filter,Zmax, treatment ,everything in this car works except the A/C compressor it has bad clutch according to our mechanic, we did not use it my husband who is 67 liked the windows down so he could hear the engine, it has all books and records, original spare tire and gas fill cylinder, digital dash works, new power antenna will be installed by the time of sale I just recieve it for GM's supplier or come with the car, drivers seat has wear on bolster with 4"split in middle of driver seat, the rest of the interior is excellent, We had it on the lift at our mechanics and the bottom was clean no signs of repaint or accident, I believe the Paint to be original and has stone chips on the hood it is hard to see in the pictures, has 2 sets of keys, all  owners manuals, a looseleaf with 20-30 pages of receipts and original window sticker, hand written pages of ever service by the original owner, PHS information GTA Notchbacks, letters from Pontiac about the numbers made etc, we are selling this because after we bought the car my husband got sick  (vertigo) and is not able to drive anymore, we want to pass it on to someone who will use it and enjoy it or take it to car show It is not perfect but pretty good other then the stone chips , split in drivers seat, and A/C compressor we wanted to keep it original it also has slight fade to top of rear fender top, paint on the hatchback has  very slight bubble to it. this CAR is being sold as is I have tried to describe it honestly. We have a 100% rating it is also being advertised localy and can be sold that way. Thank you Marcia and Carl  912 437 6774

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?

DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
