2000 Pontiac Trans Am Firehawk Investment Grade Like New on 2040-cars

Year:2000 Mileage:5285
Location:

Weare, New Hampshire, United States

Weare, New Hampshire, United States

1 of 74 red firehawk 6 speeds built in 2000. Only 704 total firehawks built in 2000 for the us market. of those, 601 were trans ams, 374 were 6 speeds, 116 were red, and only 74 were red 6 speeds. If you want a rare car in showroom condition, this is the one. These cars will continue to go up in value. And this one is worth buying to hang on to, with it being the best color combo of red and black leather and a 6 speed to top it off. If you never drove one, they handle great, stop great, have a lot of power and get looks wherever you go. remember, they stop making these 12 years ago. You can buy a new camaro, but not a pontiac trans am.

This is a firehawk 6 speed , t top car. This car was stored in a museum for years in a climate controlled environment. It has just over 5000 miles is in like new condition. No stories with this car. Never touched up, damaged, driven in rain, etc. I have high standards and would rate this car a 9.9 on a 1 to 10 scale. A 10 being new in the showroom. If you look at any part of the car, it looks new. It is in unbelievable condition. If you saw it parked on the street, you would think it was brand new. This car has all the standard ram air options like a/c , pwr windows, black leather interior, power seats, traction control, chrome wheels, slp exhaust, firehawk badging, floor mats, cover, bilsteins, and castrol oil option. I have the original bill of sale, window stickers, owners manuals, brochures, cover . All are in perfect shape.  This car even has the factory hang tag on the radio. It is 100% original, with the exception of a new battery. You can look at in person. I am in weare, nh. I can help with shipping if desired.

Again, this is an investment grade car in near brand new condition. I set the reserve below fair market value, as i have seen lesser cars sell for 25k. I have limited space in my garage and am nearing completion of a car that will need a parking spot, so this one has to go. Feel free to email me any questions or you can call me at 603 660 0093. my name is scott

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.
