Outstanding original 15,000 mile example of the WS6. Vehicle exterior is 100% stock in appearance with the

exception of the stance which has been lowered 1 & 1/2 ". A true time warp vehicle. Has never been outside overnight or
driven intentionally in any inclement weather. Heated garage and car is always covered.  Been washed only once with
running water. All other cleanings done with professional detailing chemicals and micro fiber towels. I would guess that it
has to be in the top 99% of all WS6 Trans Am's in existence. It does have one very small paint chip on right front fender,
very hard to see, and 1" pencil line cracks on the interior upper door panels.( common in almost all Trans Am's of this vintage.) I have original dealers Window Label, both Original Keys and Owners Manual.
Below please find a complete listing of mechanical modifications that we done by me personally:

*Complete MagnaFlo Quad Tip Exhaust system

*Kooks Long Tube Headers specific for LS1 engine.    *PCM Tuned by Frost.

*SLP Intake Lid and Smooth Air Bellows.

*Cross Drilled & Vented Rotors     *Ceramic Blend Brake Pads

*Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires 275/40/ZR 17" (Stock Factory Size.)  5,000 miles usage & perfect.

*Oil is changed so often it is hard to see on dip stick.  *Only Pennsoil 5/30 Platinum Synthetic Oil

*Recent Trans Fluid Change, Rear Differential Fluid Change, Brake Fluid Flush, Radiator Flush w/new coolant.

Please note that this is not a fire sale. It's not a cheap fixer upper. I have no pressure to sell it. Title is free & clear showing one NJ owner. I am a 67 year old enthusiast who enjoys maintaining and detailing high interest vehicles. I don't drag race or abuse them. There is another car I wish to purchase and this one has to be sold first. It's not the end of my world if I don't get what I consider to be a fair price for a perfect WS6. This has the highest quality parts and workmanship. 100% reliable. The ride is stiff and performance oriented. It will cruise all day long 80 MPH @2,500 rpm and return 24-25 mpg. Around town driving is 17-20 mpg. If anybody should want them, I have most of the original parts boxed. If you are a truly serious buyer and have qualified questions, you can call my cell #201-709-9127. I appreciate your interest but I'm not looking for more telephone buddies. Please do not ask me for the reserve number. I can tell you it's close to the Buy It Now price and worth every penny. Thank you and good luck and take your best shot !

Rumormill: DeLorean Motor Company considering rescuing Pontiac Solstice?

Wed, 07 Oct 2009

DeLorean Motor Company Pontiac Solstice renderings - Click above for high-res image gallery
General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.

Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.

Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
