The 2008 Carrera S is a Model 997 is the perfect example of Porsche's genius in developing the best in Sport performance with luxury that is second to none. As with all Porsches, the 997 is built to last. I am the second onwer of this car. We have both maintained the car with the Dealer service. I purchased the 100k/6 year additional warrranty when I bought the car in 2010. It is transferrable and accetped at the Dealer with now problems. The car is the perfect color combination in the sleek black exterior and beautiful tan interior. The car gets all the looks! The wheel at 19" GT wheels and add the right touch to the cars styling. This car has the Sport package so you can enjoy a more comfortable ride with great responsiveness or you can push the sport bottin and the throttle becomes more responsive, the exhaust opens up to a low grawl and then if you want hit the syspension bottin and the whole car feels like it sucks in the road by stiffing up for the maximum handling under intense driving. What a controlled rush of adreniline. The tires are relatively new Michilin N2's. The car has all the options available except the Nav system which can be plugged in. As will notice on the dash, the car has the chrono package so you can handle all levels of timing. I love the car but have a need for a truck to pull my vintage Porsche racer. You will not go wrong with this well maintianed car and enjoy every mile. By the way, during highway driving without the Sport mode on and using cruise control the car gets close to 25 miles per gallon. I think that pretty green!

Our hats are off to Porsche's 2014 911 Turbo Cabriolets
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Porsche has just debuted its two latest decapitated rocket sleds today at the LA Auto Show, the new 911 Turbo Cabriolet and Turbo S Cabriolet, which share their coupe counterparts' 520-horsepower and 560-hp 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engines. That kind of power ought separate a lot of hats (and toupees!) from heads.
The rear-engined Porsches put their power down through all four wheels, which allows them to launch from 0-60 in 3.3 seconds or less (the Turbo S Cab takes just 3.1 seconds), and both of them top out at 195 mph.
The 911 Turbo Cabriolet starts at $160,700, while the Turbo S Cabriolet can be had for a grand total of $193,900 (plus $950 for destination). Is the S model's 40 extra horsepower worth $33,200? We're not so sure, but we imagine Porsche won't have any trouble selling it.

You might think, being a distinguished man living in Italy, Maniscalco would be more enthused by a Ferrari, Maserati, or Lamborghini, but in reality, it was always Porsche that enamored the Italian as a boy. And it was that passion that led him to purchase the glorious 911T he's seen tossing about in this video.

It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.
