This 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera has a clean and clear title in my name... I recently bought this car to enjoy, but due to my arthritis I can't. This is a NO RESERVE auction..My starting price is what I have in it, if it sells for that figure I'm content.

Speedometer shows 184K miles, but this car is real clean and tight for that mileage. The engine is very strong, my Father had four 911's and this one surpasses what he had, its extremely quick...I have a feeling somebody did some internal work, but have no proof.  The transmission shifts smooth and the clutch has no issues..

The body on this machine is in great shape, with a clear car fax. Comes with owners manual with some service records, tools and jack..All panels line up nice with a beautiful repaint, does have a few nicks on front. Interior would be perfect,but have a fore/ aft crack on the drivers bottom, its from seam to seam. Front floor mats have cigarette burns from previous owner, but no where else. Dashboard is not cracked and all the glass is good. The engine has a stainless steel after market exhaust that gets peoples attention, but not too loud. Engine is a 3.2 with a K&N filter and has no strange noises, smoke or leaks. Tires are more than 60%, brakes are good and the steering is precise. Does have a remote controlled C/D radio and shock tower brace. This car is 30 years old and not perfect, but its a daily driver. From the car fax it calculated 4 owners and the 2 previous garaged kept the car and I do the same. Extremely nice car that increases in value every year. I have a list of the pro and cons below. A/C did work, but shortly after purchasing, the blower motor went out. I did replace the A/C switch.
C/C line has snapped
Drivers seat has bottom rip
Front valance has a slight ripple on the driver side. Both fog lights work.

NHTSA closes probe into 2011 Porsche 911 coolant leaks

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it will end its investigation into rapid coolant loss in 24,635 Porsche 911s built between 2001 and 2011. The models affected included the standard 911, GT2, GT3 and Turbo, as well as their variants (GT2 RS, GT3 RS and Turbo S).
NHTSA was investigating for "rapid coolant loss caused by coolant pipe-fitting failure, allegedly resulting in vehicle disablement and/or loss of vehicle control due to reduced traction for the affected vehicle or following traffic," according to the regulators website. "Most of the leak complaints did not appear to involve complete separation of the fittings and many were detected when the vehicle was parked," said NHTSA's statement.
There were 63 complaints and 336 warranty claims, although the investigation was initiated after ten complaints from customers. There have been no reports of crashes or injuries attributed to rapid coolant loss.

There is a long-running argument among performance car fans: power vs. weight. In one corner you get cars generally with small engines making modest numbers but able to corner like they are telepathic, and in the other there are big thumping mills that are rocketships in a straight line but lumber in the turns. Autocar takes an interesting look this continuum in a recent video pitting a 552-hp Porsche 911 Turbo S against a 185-hp Formula 4 racecar. It hopes to find whether the Porsche's huge power advantage is enough to defeat the better grip and aero offered by the nimble racer.
There's no doubt that the Porsche is an utterly fantastic road car. The 911 Turbo looks mean with all of those intakes to suck in cool air, and it backs up the posture with huge amounts of grip available thanks to its all-wheel drive-system. However, at 3,538 pounds, it's a bit of a porker compared to the 1,135-pound Formula 4 car. The open-wheel car boasts just a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder from Ford and a six-speed sequential-manual gearbox, but it has loads of downforce to make up for it.
It shouldn't be a surprise that the formula car wins in the corners. After all, that's what it's made for. All Porsche 911s to get turbos in 2015?

Currently, Porsche builds two turbocharged 911s - the Turbo and the Turbo S (and their cabriolet counterparts). The rest of the 911 range, meanwhile, is motivated by either 3.4- or 3.8-liter flat-sixes of varying outputs. This clear separation could be set to change in the very near future, though, as rumors continue to swirl that Porsche's rear-engined range could switch exclusively to turbocharged power.
This time, it's Car projecting that the 911 range will go turbocharged as part of a mid-cycle refresh, with the base Carrera's 3.4-liter dropping to 2.9 liters and adding an iron lung, bumping the entry level 911 up to 400 horsepower. Yes, a 400-horsepower, entry level 911. The Carrera S, meanwhile, will retain its 3.8-liter engine, but will also benefit from turbocharging, increasing output to 530 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. So basically, it sounds like the current, 520-hp 911 Turbo will become the next Carrera S.
What does that mean for Porsche's traditional high-performance models? Well, it's a safe bet that the Turbo, Turbo S and eventual GT2 will be producing seriously huge power figures. Based on pure speculation, we wouldn't be shocked to see a 600-hp Turbo, with the S and GT2 increasing output markedly from there.
