See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"This is just about the nicest 1991 911 Cab you will see! Exterior condition is 97 or 98%. The interior is just as nice. Paint is almost perfect and very glossy. Trim is excellent. The carpet is excellent. The seats have some surface wear but are as soft and supple as when the car was new. Just had a service done by an outhorized Porsche dealership. The oil was changed, the brake fluid changed and car checked over front to back. It drives like a new car. Tires and brakes are 90%. No accidents, no major or minor repairs. No excuses on this car. All receipts for all maintenance are included. All books that came with the car. A super original car with just enough miles on it to make sure things stayed lubricated and loose."

This auction is for my personal 1991 Porsche Carrera 2 Convertible with only 56k miles. This is the car you are looking for if a real nice 964 is what you want. It has been well maintained from day one by 2 original owners. The first owner had it for 4 years and put about 20k miles on it. All scheduled services performed and marked by Porsche dealer. The secret to this car is the second owner. A doctor was the second owner and he spared no expense on what he called "his baby"! The car has never set outside a night in its life. Has never seen snow or salt. The underside of the car is clean nice.  I have a stack of repair orders an inch high that lists each and every service and repair done to the vehicle, all by an authorized Porsche dealer. Most services, especially in the first 10 years are stamped in the original service log, by the original selling dealer. The car needs nothing. It starts and runs perfectly. The paint looks new and is perfect and glossy. The interior is excellent. The seats show some surface finish wear but are still as soft and supple as they day the car was sold. Carpets are excellent. The convertible top is original and very nice. The tires have about 90% tread and are very high end Bridgestones. Brakes are at least 90%. Oil and brake fluid has just been changed. The car has just been serviced and checked over by an authorized Porsche dealer. Air conditioning blows cold. Dash is perfect. Power top works perfect. You get the picture. A "no surprises" 964 cab at a very realistic price. The tailights and center light have just been replaced as the plastic on the original ones had some surface hairline cracking. The hood shocks front and rear are new. The car is completely stock other than the wheels (later model Porsche "turbo" wheels of the correct size, the tailpipe end (Fabspeed stainless steel) and the stereo (Alpine top end with CD player).

Please email me if you have any questions. The car is of course sold as is with no warranty. This is a "pickup only" item however delivery can be arranged for a fee and I would be glad to work with your shipper for pickup. Please see my feedback and buy with confidence!

All Porsche 911s to get turbos in 2015?

Sun, 19 Oct 2014

Currently, Porsche builds two turbocharged 911s - the Turbo and the Turbo S (and their cabriolet counterparts). The rest of the 911 range, meanwhile, is motivated by either 3.4- or 3.8-liter flat-sixes of varying outputs. This clear separation could be set to change in the very near future, though, as rumors continue to swirl that Porsche's rear-engined range could switch exclusively to turbocharged power.
This time, it's Car projecting that the 911 range will go turbocharged as part of a mid-cycle refresh, with the base Carrera's 3.4-liter dropping to 2.9 liters and adding an iron lung, bumping the entry level 911 up to 400 horsepower. Yes, a 400-horsepower, entry level 911. The Carrera S, meanwhile, will retain its 3.8-liter engine, but will also benefit from turbocharging, increasing output to 530 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. So basically, it sounds like the current, 520-hp 911 Turbo will become the next Carrera S.
What does that mean for Porsche's traditional high-performance models? Well, it's a safe bet that the Turbo, Turbo S and eventual GT2 will be producing seriously huge power figures. Based on pure speculation, we wouldn't be shocked to see a 600-hp Turbo, with the S and GT2 increasing output markedly from there.

Watch Porsche's 918 Spyder break a sweat while hot weather testing

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

With five months left until the 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder enters production, Porsche engineers are still putting the hybrid sports coupe through a battery of last-minute tests. To give us new reasons to ogle over the car - as if we needed any more - Porsche has released a short video showing the 918 Spyder undergoing shakedown tests in the hot Nevada desert. And you can't drive through Nevada without visiting Vegas, too, right?
Although there's really nothing new to see in this video, it's still fun to watch as Porsche approaches one million test miles logged on this exciting new high-performance model. One interesting part (at around the 0:37 mark) shows the car taking off under electric power and then transitioning to engine power, which results in a mix of whirs and growls as the 918 Spyder switches from a 127-horsepower electric vehicle to an 887-hp hybrid supercar. Scroll down to watch - and hear - Porsche's latest creation in motion.
