You are viewing perhaps the nicest 2012 997.2 Carrera S 6 speed anywhere.  Just over 4 full years of factory bumper to bumper warranty remain- better than what you receive on a brand new 911. One Porsche Club of America member owner. Always garaged- I mean every single night of it's existence. Hard to believe, but I don't think the windshield wipers have even been used. Very well optioned, with one of the 3 top selling Carrera color combinations. Absolutely no stories. No stone chips, dings, dents or other flaws. Will be sold freshly Porsche dealer serviced including the 2 year brake fluid flush. The car has a fully upgraded exhaust to give it a proper (i.e. amazing) sports car tone- but if you'd prefer a boring sound I can switch it back to the factory exhaust without a problem since I retained all of the parts. I am serious when I say if you're in the market for a stone-cold awesome 911 then you will not find a better one anywhere.  I have tried to include several good pictures, including underneath the car which clearly shows the level of showroom-new this car is. No oxidation. Shiny. Excellent! Look underneath some 911s and you'll see why I included this picture.  The car is owned free and clear, has a factory indoor car cover, Weather Tech floor mats, 2 sets of front and rear Porsche factory floor mats (yes, 2), both keys, OEM Porsche battery maintainer, all records and all brochures (including the rare hard cover one), clear European side market lights (a must), and has generally been shown a level of care few 911s enjoy. All 4 tires are patch free. The window sticker in the final picture should be able to be zoomed in on to see the complete list of factory installed options. $110,775.00  Please message me with any questions. I think I've priced this car very very well especially in light of the fact it has a pricey upgraded exhaust system, it's pristine condition would be almost impossible to surpass and the fact it has 4 full years of transferable factory warranty remaining.

Proof the world revolves around the Porsche Cayman

Sat, 27 Apr 2013

Or at least the world revolves underneath the Porsche Cayman, in the latest video showing off Stuttgart's mid-engine coupe. Porsche put an Easter egg in the world that spins triple-time, a "famous relative" of the Cayman hidden somewhere on the marble planet, and gave a Porsche Martini bag to one of the first 50 people who could point it out.
With more than 300 views there's no chance you'll win the bag, but you can still go on the treasure hunt in the video below.

Porsche again staring down another $1.8B in hedge fund lawsuits

Wed, 15 May 2013

The sequence of events from 2007 that began with Porsche's secret attempt to take over Volkswagen, and instead lead to Porsche being taken over by VW, continues to instigate lawsuits against the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer. A group of hedge funds that suffered over $1 billion in losses sued the car company in New York. Porsche had publicly stated it wasn't trying to buy VW, the hedge funds in question were shorting VW stock, and when Porsche's actual intentions were revealed, the stock shot up and the hedge funds took a beating.
The case was thrown out over the issue of jurisdiction, then appealed, only to see another suit filed on top of that. After that, most of the hedge funds withdrew their claims in New York and Porsche offered a 90-day window to refile in Germany where it is already fighting a number of other suits over the same issue. The hedge funds accepted the offer, refiling in Stuttgart for $1.8 billion in damages. According to Bloomberg, Porsche hasn't commented on the refiling, but as the same plaintiffs are involved, it's safe to assume that the carmaker still feels the case is "unsubstantiated and without merit." It has fared alright so far even in German courts, with two lesser cases against it thrown out last year.

$1.4B hedge fund suit against Porsche dismissed

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

Investors have canvassed courts in Europe and the US to repeatedly sue Porsche over its failed attempt to take over Volkswagen in 2008 (see here, and here and here), and they have repeatedly failed to win any cases. You can add another big loss to the tally, with Bloomberg reporting that the Stuttgart Regional Court has dismissed a 1.4-billion euro ($1.95B US) lawsuit, the decision explained by the court's assertion that the investors would have lost on their short bets even if Porsche hadn't misled them.
Examining the hedge funds' motives for stock purchases and the bets that VW share prices would fall, judge Carola Wittig said that the funds didn't base their decisions on the key bits of "misinformation," and instead were participating simply in "highly speculative and naked short selling," only to get caught out.
With other cases still pending, the continued streak of victories bodes well for Porsche's courtroom fortunes, since judges will expect new information to consider overturning precedent. If there is any new info, it could come from the potential criminal cases still outstanding against former CEO Wendelin Wiedeking and CFO Holger Härter, who were both indicted on charges of market manipulation.
