You are bidding on a 1976 Porsche 914 2.0 #3230 of approximately 4400 built in the final year of production of the 914.  This is an original CALIFORNIA/ARIZONA car that is RUST-FREE.  The HELL-HOLE is clean and clear with no damage.

The suspension has been slightly modified to accept the Porsche 5-bolt wheel pattern.  The wheels are Porsche "Phone Dials."  The front suspension is equipped with 21 mm torsion bars (the originals come with the spare parts) and Bilstein shocks.  The rear suspension is equipped with 180# Weltmeister springs and Bilstein shocks.  The original front and rear sway bars are still on the car.

As you can see in the photos, the body is in near perfect condition.  The gaps are as good as any that came from the factory, and there is no body damage.

The exterior has been re-sprayed in the original factory color. The body was completely stripped during the re-spraying process.

The interior is original except for a re-upholstering of the seats with material from Autos International.

Nearly every piece of rubber has been replaced including the expensive top and side pieces.  All door seals are new, as are the front and rear trunk seals.  The windshield was replaced yesterday.

The engine runs very well and has a new factory fuel pump.  The injectors were re-manufactured.  Routine maintenance has always been done.

The BUYER will arrange and PAY for shipping.  I will assist in the loading of the car.

The original smog equipment will come with the car, but is not presently installed (see photo).  The car comes with lots of spare parts as well (see photo).

The BUYER will make payment using PAYPAL or by sending a CERTIFIED CHECK from a reputable bank.  The car will not be released until PAYMENT IN FULL has been received.  A CERTIFIED CHECK in the amount of $500.00 will serve as a deposit for up to two weeks until final payment has been received.

Chevy Corvette Stingray defeating rivals where it matters most

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

Everything is coming up roses for the award-winning Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, as new data from the North American Dealers Association dissected by GM Authority reveals that America's sports car is handily outselling two of its more expensive rivals.
Through June of 2014, the NADA notes that the Corvette has rung up 17,744 sales, handily besting the Porsche 911 and positively spanking the SRT Viper. Of course, you're sitting there thinking, "Corvette is outselling the much more expensive Porsche and Viper. Sky blue, water wet." But what's impressive here is just how thoroughly the Chevrolet is beating its two rivals, with this data serving as a testament to just how popular the seventh-generation sports car has become.
So far this year, Porsche has managed to move 5,169 911s, according to NADA. Considering that the base model starts at nearly $15,000 more than the most heavily optioned Stingray, and that Porsche owners have a vast, expensive options catalogue to select from, Stuttgart's sales are still plenty impressive in relation to the nearly 18,000 Corvettes sold.

Porsche Museum highlights history of the 911 RSR

Sat, 12 Jan 2013

Porsche has amassed quite an impressive trophy case in just about every racing series it has ever entered, and one of its most dominant machines has to be the 911 RSR from the 1970s. Taking part in various GT-class competitions, the 911 RSR managed to take home three international and seven German victories in 1973, its very first year of competition.
Not one to downplay its racing successes, Porsche has released an informative video detailing the 911 RSR's impressive heritage. The 1973 RSR model owned by the Porsche Museum is detailed beautifully on video, and we have to say it looks absolutely stunning in its vintage Martini Racing livery.
Have a look at the video below for some historic racing action, along with static shots of one of our favorite Porsche models ever created.

Porsche Cayman S and Caterham 7 go head to head on the drag strip

Fri, 27 Jun 2014

We recently saw the standard Porsche Cayman go up against a Subaru WRX STI in a one-mile drag race with surprising results. Apparently, Evo had a similar idea of evaluating the Cayman's quickness. However, it opted for the more powerful S model and chose a flyweight Caterham Roadsport 140 as the challenger. Will the results of this battle be as close at the end of the kilometer-long (0.62-mile) drag?
Neither of these are cars you'd usually associate with drag racing, but they are nearly evenly matched. Evo selected them based on power-to-weight ratio, with the Caterham offering a scant 140 horsepower in a lithe 1,213-pound package. The Porsche is a quite svelte 2,910 pounds but has 325 hp to haul it around.
Of course, power-to-weight ratio isn't everything. There are a ton of other variables like aerodynamics and gearing that play a huge role, as well. Can the little Caterham's weight advantage overcome the better aero and additional power of the Porsche? Scroll down watch the video and find out.
