I have a VERY SUPER RARE 1982 Porsche 924T turbo 5spd, 5 lug car in very very nice shape. The motor is not original.I am a porsche tech and replaced it myself do to it having bad piston rings.I went through the whole motor before it was put in.Turbo works perfect and has K&N filter. It is in good condition and a very clean car. The wiring for the lights needs finished (LIGHTS ARE NOT WORKING RIGHT NOW) but it runs and drives great. Could use paint and some interior work. Dash is cracked from sun. The rest of the interior is not that bad. I have the owners manual and window sticker from stoddard porsche, where it was purchased new. I have owned it for four years now but  just dont have the time nor money to get it painted and some interior work done. Car is worth around 7000 in fair condition from my research and wasnt able to come across another one. Car runs great and is very fast.It was never driven in the winter.Car is very clean.Tires are good.Left front fender is worst spot and its just peedled paint that barely started to surface rust.Other then motor, car is all original.Just needs some TLC.Title is clean. All these cars were 4 speeds but this one is a super rare 5 speed car.NOT MANY IN THE US.

Other extra options car came with were removable top and rear wiper and auto antenna and real leather sport seats and leather steering wheel cover.

I do have the original block, head, intake and fuel distributor that can go with car for extra money.Block just needs mill work, but noot cracked.

I AM WILLING TO TRANSPORT THE CAR TO THE WINNING BIDDER FOR A FEE. FEE DEPENDS ON WERE CAR IS GOING TO.IF YOUR INTERESTED, THEN TELL ME WERE YOU LIVE AND ILL LET YOU KNOW HOW MUCH.

If you do the research, you will see how rare the 5 speed, 5 lug ones are and that there are many of these in the united states. Most were 4 lug, 4 speeds.Hurry and buy now.

Porsche 911 celebrates 50 years of iconic motoring

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Back in 1963, Porsche debuted the very first 911 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And over the last 50 years, that coupe has grown to become one of the most iconic sports cars of all time. That in mind, you could easily chalk up this 50th Anniversary model as just one of the many special edition 911s that have graced our roads over the years, but dig a bit deeper and you'll see that this one is far more than just some unique paint and different wheels.
For starters, the 911 50th Anniversary Edition utilizes the wider Carrera 4/4S body, but retains its standard rear-wheel-drive configuration. Power comes from the Carrera S' 3.8-liter flat-six engine, but features a Powerkit upgrade that includes the Sport Chrono package and ups overall output to 400 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Hitting 60 miles per hour takes just 3.8 seconds if the car is fitted with Porsche's dual-clutch PDK gearbox, or 4.2 seconds if you choose the row-your-own seven-speed manual. Talk about going Over The Hill with a quickness.
Despite looking pretty tame, we're really hot on the appearance of this special 911, with its throwback flat gray paint job and new 20-inch wheels that look remarkably similar to the original Fuchs alloys of the 1963 model. Inside, you'll find green lettering on the instrument displays, white pointer needles and silver accents, and the leather seats have a fabric insert that's similar to the Pepita cloth from the original 911.

Porsche 911 Cabriolet refresh may hide new engine

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

If we learned nothing else from our recent frolic through Porsche's secret museum, it's that the automaker goes to incredible lengths to disguise future products during initial testing. Just as a number of cars in that Stuttgart bunker hid the true identity of developmental mules (like the Audi-V8-powered 911), such could very well be the case with these spy shots showing what, on the surface, appears to be simply a facelifted 991 911 Cabriolet.
Similar to what we saw last month on a 911 coupe, this Cabriolet has obvious styling modifications made to the front and rear fascias suggesting that the 911's still-fresh appearance is already set to get a few tweaks. The big news here is at the rear of the car. The additional vents on the lower edge of the fascia and the mocked-up vent above the engine leads our spy photographer to believe that a new engine could be tucked under the body work - likely a smaller-displacement, turbocharged flat-six focusing more on improving fuel efficiency and reducing exhaust emissions rather than performance.
We last heard rumblings of such a detuned 911 back in August, but could this be our first look at said new model? Have a look for yourself, and let us know what you think - either about this mule specifically or the idea of a "green" 911, in Comments below.

Le Mans-winning Porsche 935 K3 'seized' by DEA agents

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Porsche has won Le Mans more than any other marque, but only one of those overall race winners was actually based on a 911. That was the 1979 Porsche 935 K3, chassis number 009 00015 that was entered by brothers Don and Bill Whittington. It went on to win at the Nürburgring and Watkins Glen, and scored podium finishes at Sebring and Brands Hatch as well. In short, it's a historically significant and hugely valuable piece of motorsport history. And it was just seized by the DEA. Sorta.
After the Whittington brothers ran afoul of a handful of lawsuits and were implicated in smuggling narcotics, the car changed hands a few times before ending up in the noted collection of one Bruce Meyers. He had it at Laguna Seca earlier this month when a black Suburban, Dodge Charger and transporter truck pulled up with government plates, asked to speak with Meyer, presented him with a court order, loaded the car onto the truck and drove off.
Though familiar with the legal disputes surrounding the ownership of the car and the misdeeds of its famous original owners, Meyer was left understandably distraught over the events that had just unfolded in front of him to separate him from his pride and joy. (Or one of them, anyway; Bruce has got an eminently desirable collection of classic cars.) But here's the kicker: those DEA agents weren't actual DEA agents. Fortunately they weren't thieves, either. The actual story could have been the plot right out of Ocean's 14 if they ever made one and it focused on classic cars. (Is anyone in Hollywood listening?)
