1987 Porsche 924s 68k Miles 5 Speed Sharp Car on 2040-cars

Year:1987 Mileage:68000
Location:

Nice low mileage 1987 Porsche 924s with 68k original miles, 5 speed manual transmission, sunroof, power windows, working AC, split leather interior, original alloy wheels, original working Porsche radio.  Car runs and drives excellent, smooth running engine, perfect clutch and gearbox with no grinding between shifts. I have recently replaced both motor mounts, oil cooler gaskets, and oil pressure sender as well as a fresh oil change.  AC works great, lights all work as they should as well as turn signals, and windows.    Front and rear hood and hatch shocks work perfect.  Paint is original and still looks good, front header has a few rock chips in it as you would expect from a car of this age.  Body is nice with one ding on the driver's door frame top and two on the hood.  No rust on this car.  Driver and passenger seats two outer seams have seperated and can be resown.  It's not in concours shape, but it is  a very nice, low mileage daily driver you can be proud to be seen in as I still get compliments on it when out for a drive.  The only thing my mechanic said I might want to replace is the oil level sender as sometimes going around a corner it will light up even when full.  If you have been looking for a nice, low mileage 924s without problems then this is a good one to look at.  Low reserve for a car with these miles and condition.  I will need a $200.00 deposit within 48 hours of auction's end via Paypal with the balance due within 7 days.   No out of the country buyers, no negative feedback buyers please.     Any other questions just ask.  Happy Bidding!

Porsche's latest Driver's Selection keeps enthusiasts happy at home

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Porsche fans - and there are certainly plenty of them out there, even in here on the Autoblog editorial staff - can be pretty emphatic about their enthusiasm, insisting that the 911 is the very definition of the sportscar. And for some, merely admiring one from afar or even leaving theirs parked outside isn't enough. For just such enthusiats, Porsche Design has expanded its Driver's Selection with some tantalizing additions for the home and office.
First up is a desk chair made from the bucket seat in a 911 Carrera, which we have to admit we'd rather be sitting in right now over this blasted, rather unexciting ergonomic office chair. It's covered in black leather (the same you'd find inside an actual 911) embossed with the Porsche emblem and features electronic backrest adjustment.
There's also a wall shelf made from the carbon-fiber rear spoiler a 911 GT3 Cup racecar that can support up to 264 pounds of downforce in the form of books, trinkets and whathaveyou. And there's a limited-edition resin model of the 918 Spyder in 1:8 scale. The items haven't hit the Porsche shop just yet, so we don't have pricing information, but if they tickle your fancy, the online store has plenty more to offer.

Magnus Walker soliloquizes in his Porsche 911 at night

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

Magnus Walker, a prolific Los Angeles clothing designer who has also carved out a respected spot for himself in Porsche world, has had yet another video made about him and his sizable Porsche collection. In this latest video, Hong Kong-based Obscura magazine focuses its video cameras on Walker and his 1971 Porsche 911 track car (yes, the one that appeared on Jay Leno's Garage) as he speeds around Downtown LA and Little Tokyo late at night.
We've heard Walker's story many times before. He's not like the average Porsche owner, perhaps a tad more passionate than most, and he builds 911s like he designs clothes: his way. Sure, we might be a little envious, but can you blame us? View this very slick and entertaining nighttime video entitled Disturbing The Peace below.

Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer

An Iconic Sports Car, Restored to Seduce
I have been strapped behind the iconic Momo Prototipo steering wheel for a little more than an hour, all windows down as I carve my way up a rugged canyon during an unusually warm Southern California evening, and I am overwhelmed with emotion. My heart is pounding out of my chest, my breathing is heavy and my palms are sweaty because I am completely absorbed by this wondrous machine.
After waiting patiently for nearly four years, I am finally behind the wheel of a classic Porsche 911 restored, modified and tuned by Singer Vehicle Design. The vehicle that surrounds me never rolled off an automaker's assembly line in its current configuration, yet its physical appearance is timeless, build quality breathtaking and driving dynamics peerless.
