Hello, I'm here to list my pride and joy, a 1982 Porsche 928. First off, let me disclose that I don't need to sell it, and I'm seeing if anybody has any genuine interest in it. The previous owner had it for 13 years, and kept all of his receipts and records, and I have done the same. It runs and drives perfectly, and is the perfect Sunday driver. This car has come from a meticulous (not first time either) Porsche owner that makes sure all preventitive maintenance is done, and the car is preforming as it should (regular oil changes and washes/polishes/waxes) The car drives VERY straight, and is in almost perfect mechanical condition. The car looks as it should, if not better for a 32 year old "regularly driven" car. The doors close tight, and the joints meet up as they should. I easily have over 10k in receipts from the previous owner, not to mention the money that I just put in it (as listed below). We don't have emissions in Indiana, so I couldn't tell you if it'd pass, but it has in the past so i don't know why it wouldn't.
The good:
New Tires ($1000) *On Stanced and Staggered "PhoneDial" rims that have recently been powder coated with very few imperfections (Picture has the tread... Under 100 miles.)
New Authentic Sparco Racing Seats ($1000)
New Sparco Steering Wheel and MOMO hub ($320)
New Timing Belt, Spark Plugs, and Wires ($1500)
Speaker Setup ($400)
Awesome Classic Porsche in Great Mechanical (-Priceless-) Condition
I kept it in a heated garage throughout the harsh winter this year too.
All of the electric components work, except for cruise control.
The bad:
The sunroof doesn't work, but the motor for it does. (Needs a new cable)
Dash is cracked, and some of the leather has shrunk. (Picture 6)
The odometer stopped working about 5k miles ago.
There is some weird scaling on part of the paint. (Left rear quarter panel-in picture 6)
There are some very small paint chips, and rust spots, but it is still very clean!  (Picture 8)
Missing a piece on the front bumper. (Picture 7)
Bad O2 sensor causing a light to turn on, which is easily dismissed with a simple touch.
If you put new leather all around (which I'm planning on doing if this doesn't sell) it will be better than new with the seats and steering wheel.
Feel free to email, call, or text about any questions you may have. Thanks again :)

Porsche 911 already testing next refresh

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The latest Porsche 911 may still be a newer car, but that hasn't stopped the German company from starting development of a facelifted version of the rear-engined sports car, testing in what looks like southern Europe.
Due to hit the market in 2015, our spies think what we're seeing here is the new GTS variant, which, following the evolution of the last-generation 911, will make its debut on the facelifted car. Featuring the wider rear haunches of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4, the GTS should enjoy a slight power boost, to 408 ponies.
Aesthetically, there are some additional vents in the rear bodywork, along with a revised front bumper and tweaked day-time running lights. The taillights get some attention as well, and will likely grow over the current car's skinny rear lamps.

Porsche calls in The Committee for Boxster and Cayman GTS

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

Porsche is set to offer up the very first GTS variants of its more affordable Boxster convertibles and Cayman coupes. This is very good news for enthusiasts. Aside from our original post announcing the hotted up models, though, Porsche hasn't given us much to go on.
And you know what? This video isn't much of help either. It's called The Committee, and we're guessing it's meant to highlight the lengths that Porsche went to in designing what are essentially sportier trim levels for its two most affordable entries. Still, it's a stylized and entertaining video with a few entertaining driving scenes scattered throughout, and it gives just a small glimpse of Porsche's view of the vaunted GTS badge.
Take a look below for the full video.

Race Recap: 2013 Petit Le Mans draws curtain on the ALMS [spoilers]

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The 16th Petit Le Mans Powered By Mazda, in the final year of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón, was run on Saturday. Even though many of this year's championships had already been decided, the last ALMS race ever would be a 10-hour, 1,000-mile slog around Road Atlanta to get names in the record books and decide a few series trophies.
Since some of you will only get around to your TIVOs (or Fox Sports coverage) today, you should stop reading now if you don't want to know who did what...
