Folks, First let me clarify the Vin, Ebay will not take the Gray market Vin so I used the one I had for the 89GT I sold earlier year the Vin is WP0ZZZ92ZDS841658 and I have included pictures of the tag on the car and the title for proof. Hope this doesn't confuse folks. It is a 84 928s Euro model 5 speed with many update since I purchased it. Keep in mind the car is 29 years old and I drove it about 10K miles since I purchased it in 2007. The 928s were sold in the US but were hampered in HP (240hp) and performance due to US imports restrictions. As such many owners purchased the cars in Europe as (grey market) cars and had them shipped. This allowed the owner the 310 hp engine and the Bosch K-jet fuel injection system that is a mechanical fuel injection, essentially bomb proof. European versions debuted with 300 PS (221 kW/297 hp), and were upgraded to 310 PS (228 kW/306 hp) for 1984 model year, though it is rumored [and proven on chassis dynamometers] that they typically made around 330 hp.(The 84 corvette with the L83 engine made about 205 hp)This 928s will do 160, believe me I know. The body is hot dipped galvanized steel and the hood and fenders are aluminum. Hence the 44K price in 84. Its fun to drive and gets looks everywhere. It’s straight out of risky business. Engine
Transmission,
Tires
Headlamps ($500)
Interior ($6000)
Dash Carpet because the dash leather took a beating
one-month from the sun. (Sorry I blame my brother for this) I am sure Bob can
fix. Electric seats work some of the time. I believe its just bad
connections. Speedo drops off sometimes (I cannot fix and believe me I tried)
What the car will need:
Lastly, since its winter I will be happy to store the car
until March. No extra fee. No zero bidders please Terms are 500 down within 24 hours and the rest within 7 days regardless of delivery options. Good luck bidding and feel free to ask me anything!! |

Father-son team grows close by building tuned Porsche
Mon, 21 Jul 2014We've seen several heartwarming videos of kids bonding over cars with their parents, whether racing together or giving them as gifts. The story of Leh Keen and his father McGrath, though, is somewhat different. Not many dads are looking for a vehicle quite this mental.
As Leh tells it, his dad saw a video online of one of the wild Porsches from Japanese tuner Rauh-Welt Begriff and decided that he needed one of the creations in his own garage. Since Leh knows something about cars himself as a driver for Alex Job Racing in the United SportsCar Championship, McGrath put his son in charge of managing the build from the company.
When the car made it to the US for completion from Rauh's famed builder Nakai, father and son bonded over the red, widebody 993-platform 911. The final product is certainly eye-catching. Scroll down to watch the video that features not only an engrossing father-son tale but also a seriously wicked, tuned Porsche from one of Japan's finest.
2014 Porsche Panamera Diesel is something to torque about
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Porsche has been in the business of slaying sacred cows for the better part of a decade, from venturing into the SUV space with the Cayenne to the four-door realm with its Panamera hatchback. And if those vehicles didn't leave brand purists apoplectic enough, Porsche has been adding diesel and hybrid power to its portfolio, thought to this point, neither alt-fuel motivator has made its way into the brand's sports car lineup.
Today's Frankfurt Motor Show effectively marks the second-generation of diesel power in the Panamera, and this updated 3.0-liter V6 features 300 horsepower (50 ponies more than last year) and a whopping 479 pound-feet of torque, available from 2,500 rpm. That power is achieved with a new higher-pressure, water-cooled turbo and redesigned engine internals that include a new crankshaft and pistons. The newfound increase is said to raise top speed to 161 miles per hour from 152, and drop the car's 0-62 mph time from 6.8 seconds down to 6.0. It also figures to be a better handler, with a new torque-vectoring rear differential borrowed from its gas-powered brethren and a reworked transmission for crisper shifts. The suspension has also been retuned, along with the updated 2014 visuals first revealed at April's Shanghai Motor Show.
No word yet on the North American sales prospects of this diesel Panamera, but we imagine that depends in part on how well the Cayenne diesel is selling.
Take a POV hot lap in the Porsche 918 Spyder
Mon, 14 Apr 2014That title about says it all. This is a hot lap of the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX, with Porsche Works Driver Patrick Long at the wheel of a Porsche 918 Spyder. The camera is basically showing us everything that Long sees, making this not just one of the coolest 918 videos we've seen, but also one of the neatest laps of CoTA.
As Long peers through the bends, so will you. You'll see him fight the wheel, and find out just how difficult it is to hustle this hybrid hypercar around a world-class track at speed. It's pretty darn entertaining. There are also a few scattered shots of the 918's exterior just to break up the interior awesomeness, although we aren't exactly complaining about those. Take a look below for the short video from Porsche.
