This is a show quality 928 S4.  Hard to imagine it is over 25 years old.  It has always been garaged and never driven in inclement weather.  The original paint shines like new.  There are no dings or dents anywhere on the car.  My last 928 was a white with lipstick red interior featured in Excellence magazine.  This car is of equal quality.  Its primary owner was an engineer and if you dont know what that means check out the binder full of service and information on the car.  This car has had the best of everything.  I will include all books and records.  The mileage is clearly 59800.  There was a mistake at DMV when they entered the mileage they added 100k by mistake.  I am working on getting this corrected and Im told it will get corrected.  When you look at the autocheck you can clearly see that the car was not driven 100k miles in less than a month.   0n we go then...  The interior is just as nice as you would expect from a garaged car with such low miles.  It shows virtually no wear at all.  The only negative I can find is the air temperature sensor is broken.  Most all of them are.  Easy and inexpensive to replace.  The dash is almost perfect with no warping or cracking.  The seats look like they have never been sat in and are the optional full leather.  I have the original window sticker.  It was just over 67,000 dollars.  No smells or odors of any kind.  It does smell like the 20 other Porsches I have been lucky enough to own.  Mechanically the car is outstanding and easily as good as any I have driven.  No rattles or shakes anywhere.  The timing belt and water pump have already been done at 50k miles and all services are up to date.  The rims and tires are excellent and are correct for the car.  The car needs nothing.  Everything works as it should with the exceptions of the cruise control.  Shocking I know.  The AC is cold and blows from both the front an rear units.  This is a very special car and I have a very fair number in mind for it.  I can be reached anytime at 727-265-3544.  Feel free to call anytime.  I am a car nut.  This might be one of the finest 928 S4 cars Ive ever seen.

Porsche 918 Spyder gets tiny recall for rear control arms

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

As the recent US recall of a single Koenigsegg Agera shows, even low-production supercars aren't immune from safety campaigns. Now, there's another example that even the fastest cars can have their faults. The Porsche 918 Spyder is a pretty fantastic vehicle for its ability to mix hybrid fuel economy and incredible amounts of power, but Porsche has a problem on a few units of its halo model.
According to the recall document from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Porsche needs to inspect and possibly repair five 918s in the US because the rear axle control arms may break, which could cause a loss of control while driving. In the full defect notice, Porsche says that it first noticed the problem on June 26 when the parts failed during "heavy duty durability testing (extreme race conditions)" at the Nardo test track in Italy. It transported the components back to the company's lab for inspection, and on July 18 it issued a stop-sale to inspect the suspension parts on the supercar. The automaker also contacted owners by phone to warn them not to use the car on track, until repaired.
The affected 918s will be inspected, and if the cars have the bad parts, the control arms are will be replaced. Obviously, this will be done at no cost to owners. According to a Porsche spokesperson speaking to Autoblog, in addition to the five US cars potentially affected, there were 45 worldwide. All of the cars have now been checked. Porsche Cayenne GTS, base models revealed ahead of LA

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Porsche unveiled a slew of refreshed Cayennes just a few months ago, but the base model (right) and high-performance GTS trim (above) were conspicuously absent from that list. There's no more reason to wonder about them, though, because the German brand plans to unveil both at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19.
Sitting below the Turbo in the lineup, the latest GTS still offers plenty of performance. It drops the previous version's naturally aspirated V8 in favor of a tuned version of the twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 from the Cayenne S for some added oomph. The tweaks bring power up to 440 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, which is enough to rocket the model to 62 miles per hour in an estimated 5.2 seconds. The bump also equates to 20 hp and 39 lb-ft more than the current S and more importantly 20 hp and 62 lb-ft more than the previous GTS, according to Porsche.
In addition to the extra muscle, Porsche also decks the GTS out with some added features. It comes with a standard sport exhaust and Porsche Active Suspension Management system with an air suspension lets the chassis sit about three-quarters of an inch lower (20 millimeters). To bring things to a halt, the high-performance models also takes its brakes from the Turbo model.

2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid is one mean green machine

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

The entire Porsche Panamera lineup gets a refresh for the 2014 model year, and new additions to the range include two long-wheelbase models and this E-Hybrid fuel-sipper that makes its debut here at the Shanghai Motor Show. And, well, we say "fuel-sipper lightly."
Porsche has packed its hybrid Panamera with 416 horsepower and 435 pound-feet of torque, and that certainly makes for one quick sedan-hatchback-thing. Hitting 60 miles per hour will reportedly take just 5.2 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 167 mph. And while Porsche hasn't revealed specific powertrain details, the company says that the S E-Hybrid "improves upon the concept offered by the previous Panamera S Hybrid with a more powerful electric motor," which leads us to believe that the supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine at the heart of it all still remains intact.
Fuel economy numbers (or estimates) have not been released as of this writing, but we expect to have that information closer to the car's on-sale date later this year. As for the new battery system, Porsche says that when plugged into a 240-volt charging station, it can be fully charged in just two and a half hours. When topped off, the Panamera S E-Hybrid should have an electric driving range of around 20 miles at speeds up to 84 mph, though, obviously, not at the same time.
