1984 Porsche 911 Turbo (930) 1 of 1 Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) paint to sample (L999) with Black leather
interior (917) with 52,000 original miles. This car was ordered by a prominent family in Texas who ordered the car
from Germany and had it imported in 1984. What makes this car a Special Wishes car is that it was ordered with the
Porsche slant nose rocker panels and wide fenders (rear brake cooling vents) and paint to sample (a custom color).
I have all the documentation including the original bill of sale, books, manuals, keys and import paper work. This
car is 100% stock and is in perfect working order. The car was ordered with a few addition options that also make
it unique: 40% Locking Diff, Leather Sport Seats, Air Conditioning and Sunroof. This car is currently owned by the
Porsche Club of America (Palmetto Region) historian, who was also a very accomplished artist. Harold “Tug”
Mathisen passed away on December 29th 2015 and the car now belongs to his widow. The PCA club in Charleston SC is
helping Tugs wife sell the car (me). We are including an original “Tug Art” one of his many famous water color
Porsche paintings (he painted every Euro Fest poster for over 15 years). Tug was one helluva car guy and Porsche
owner, owning dozens of Porsches over the years. The car lives in a climate controlled garage and has been
recently detailed and is ready for a new home, I have the title in hand and it is clean (no accidents or any issues
with the title ever).

Jaguar F-Type coupe to cost more than convertible?

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Jaguar may price the much-rumored F-Type Coupe above the F-Type Convertible, if a report from Australia's Drive is to be believed. What makes Jag think that such a pricing strategy would work? Porsche. Take a look at the German manufacturer's consumer site, and you'll notice that the Boxster is less expensive than the Cayman, despite being essentially the same car.
It's a fair point, and a price premium does a good job of emphasizing the sporting chops of the coupe over the open-air experience that normally entitles convertibles to higher MSRPs. It's unclear just how closely Jaguar will follow Porsche's example, though.
Both the Cayman and Cayman S boast an extra ten horsepower over a Boxster or Boxster S, and while this bump in grunt is negligible in every situation but an argument over which is "best," it isn't something to be ignored in the F-Type, particularly as cranking more power out of its supercharged engines should be a rather simple matter.

Porsche continues facelift spree with 911 Turbo

Fri, 24 Jan 2014

If there's ever been automotive case for constant evolution, it is the Porsche 911. It seems like every time a new version of the rear-engined sports car debuts, Porsche is already hard at work on a facelifted version of it that changes some subtle, barely noticeable aspect.
Such is the case with this round of images of a facelifted 911 Turbo, which was seen undergoing winter testing alongside the facelifted, hardtop-version of the 911 Cabriolet we showed you yesterday. The new, 991-based 911 Turbo was just unveiled in May of 2013.
Like the Cabrio from yesterday, both the Turbo and naturally aspirated models shown here feature additional slats at the rear of the car, right behind the rear wheels. These slats on the standard model lend credence to what we learned yesterday - that even the regular 911 models could end up getting turbocharged mills.

Leno steals Porsche 918 from The Quail for latest Garage episode

Sat, 31 Aug 2013

Just because he's a famous celebrity doesn't mean Jay Leno got to take it easy at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance earlier this month. Having already spent some time with the gorgeous Cadillac Elmiraj Concept and Ed Welburn for a recent episode of Jay Leno's Garage, the late night talk show host also got to put a few miles on a prototype version of the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Like a usual episode of JLG, Leno first goes over the details of the car with Frank Walliser, head of the 918 Spyder's development, before taking it out for spin. Check out the full episode, which is posted below, to hear what Walliser has to say about the car. More importantly, though, crank up your computer's volume and let the car's high-revving engine and amazing exhaust note do plenty of talking for itself.
