1997 Porsche Boxster Base Convertible 2-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Yucca Valley, California, United States
Great condition, 1997 Porsche Boxster, all original very well maintained and very low mileage. This car runs and looks great, it is my daily driver and has never let me down. Many maintenance upgrades in past 12 months.....brand new OEM convertible top installed recently, looks and works perfect. Spark plugs, serpentine belt replaced, oil/filter changed with Mobil 1 0W-40 and all fluids/filters (air and fuel) changed in the last year with Porsche spec parts. New Nitto high performance ZR rated tires and performance vented/slotted rotors and brakes installed within last few months. Steering is tight and straight, recently replaced
the original inner and outer tie rod ends with TRW tie rods. Has original spare and tool kit. AC is ice cold and all power options and Factory CD player work perfectly. , No leaks, or seepage, engine and trans are clean and dry. As stated, normal wear on front fascia and driver side seat bolster, but no major defects. This a great original example that is well maintained and ready to go. Title is clean and in hand. I have no desire to sell my Boxster, but the wife has another plan. Nothing to hide, don't hesitate to ask questions.

Porsche kicks off Macan production at revamped Leipzig plant
Sun, 16 Feb 2014After over two years of construction and roughly 500 million euros ($684 million at current rates) invested, Porsche finally opened its Leipzig, Germany, factory expansion on February 11. The improvements to the plant are dedicated to building the Macan and include a new body shop, paint shop and assembly line that are advancing Porsche's goal to sell 50,000 Macan's per year. The company believes that the new model is going to push it to over 200,000 annual sales 3 years ahead of schedule, and the enlarged branch can support even more Macan production, if there is demand.
"We are totally convinced in the qualities of this location and that the Macan will be a marketing success," said Porsche Chairman Matthias Müller during the opening celebration. The company opened its Leipzig factory in 2002 to build the Cayenne and added Panamera production in 2009.
The Macan models are due to launch in the US this summer with prices starting at $49,900. Scroll down to learn all of the details about the Macan's Leipzig assembly plant.
Overnight action from the 24 Hours of Le Mans

We'll let the recap wait until the end of the race, so for now enjoy some shots from last night's action at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Porsche's 959 is still poster-worthy after all these years
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Today, we have the Porsche 918 Spyder. Before that, there was the Carrera GT. While both of those cars are dramatic departures from the traditional, rear-engine Porsche formula, they owe their very existence to another wild child of the iconic German brand - the 959.
Like so many of the great performance cars of yesteryear, the 959 was a homologation special, built just so Porsche could go racing in the clinically insane Group B rally series. Fewer than 400 959s hit the streets, but those that did were some of the most advanced cars of the 1980s. A rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged flat-six sent its power through a still-rare all-wheel-drive system, creating a race-inspired rocket that was, for a short time, the fastest production car on the planet.
Xcar has the story of the 959, from its inception to its conquest of the Paris-Dakar rally, which is interspersed with a drive of the legendary coupe. Scroll down for the full video.
