This is an outstanding, low mile Boxster with "S" features.  In fact it is basically indistinguishable from an "S" with its "S" exhaust and red Porsche brake calipers.  The upgrade list is almost to long to mention and includes:  LED tail lights, HID headlights, EVERY lite in this car has been upgraded to LED including interior, trunk all of them.  Speakers upgraded to Poll Audio DX.  Two sets of floor mats, original and red "Boxster" maps.

Mechanically:  I am a long time Porsche owner and restorer and am crazy but the previous owner was beyond fastidious.  The serpentine belt was replaced along with an updated idler pulley.  The flywheel counter shaft seal was replaced with the updated version.  The engine mount was replaced.  These cover the weak points on these cars and this maintenence was all preventative not due to problems.  Same is true with tune up, brake pads and on and on.  The rear tires were replaced 700 miles ago with Mich Pilot Sport 255/40ZR-17's the matching fronts have 75% tread as you can see from the photographs.

Cosmetics:  The interior is near perfect, leather is supple and without damage.  Dash is perfect.  Carpet is beautiful.  Top is great and tight.  The red exterior is very nice, there are the usual chips that have been touched up and not visible but on close inspection.  The nose has been resprayed and the match is exact (find one that hasn't been repainted and it will be a mess).  There are no dents or dings, no door edge chips.  The wheels are excellent, no curb rash, see the photos.

The car drives like a low mile, exceptionally well cared for Boxster should, it's solid and has a great exhaust note.

All the books are present along with the tool kit.

I may have left out some of the options and upgrades but all included there's over $5,000 in additions.

This car is ready for years of fun at an affordable price.

I welcome your inspection and will gladly answer any questions, remember no used vehicle is perfect so expect some normal wear.  I have not advertised on Ebay for a couple of years as I grew tired of the DREAMERS and those that believed this is some sort of video game so please remember if you bid and win YOU ARE AN OWNER this is a LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT.

Enjoy bidding on this great car.

Porsche 911 already testing next refresh

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The latest Porsche 911 may still be a newer car, but that hasn't stopped the German company from starting development of a facelifted version of the rear-engined sports car, testing in what looks like southern Europe.
Due to hit the market in 2015, our spies think what we're seeing here is the new GTS variant, which, following the evolution of the last-generation 911, will make its debut on the facelifted car. Featuring the wider rear haunches of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4, the GTS should enjoy a slight power boost, to 408 ponies.
Aesthetically, there are some additional vents in the rear bodywork, along with a revised front bumper and tweaked day-time running lights. The taillights get some attention as well, and will likely grow over the current car's skinny rear lamps.

Watch the incredibly complicated operation of Porsche's new targa roof

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Despite Porsche having claimed the name, targa tops are nothing new. In addition to the semi-roofless version of the 911, plenty of cars in the past have used removable roof panels - the new Corvette Stingray has one (as have prior generations), and this type of open-air experience has been available on past vehicles like the Pontiac Solstice Coupe and Honda Civic del Sol.
But when Porsche took the top off its brand new 911 Targa here at the Detroit Auto Show, it was indeed cause for pause. Simply put, this is one of the most complicated and intricate electronic roof panel removal techniques we've ever seen, save perhaps, for the setup found on the Japanese-market Civic del Sol from the 1990s.
We won't spoil the video for you, but basically, rather than just the roof panel coming off, the entire rear glass area lifts away the body in order for the small section over the passenger compartment to slide back. This has to be incredibly expensive to repair once it inevitably breaks. And we highly doubt you'll be able to operate this mechanism at any speed.

Porsche celebrates 5M Facebook fans with crowdsourced one-off 911

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

Porsche's Facebook fan base appears to be accelerating as quickly as the cars it builds. The German automaker has just unveiled a special 911 Carrera 4S designed with crowdsourced input as a way to thank its five million Facebook fans.
The 911 features special Aquablaumetallic paint from Porsche Exclusive, contrasting 20-inch white Carrera S wheels and pinstriping, along with an aero package including a fixed rear wing. Inside, there are unique backlit sill plates and the obligatory dashboard engraving that says "Personally Built by 5 Million Porsche Fans."
As a way to turn at least one virtual thumbs up into its more meaningful physical-world equivalent, Porsche is holding a contest to win the chance to drive the car at Britain's Silverstone racetrack - and bring a friend - and nine lucky runners-up will win 1:43-scale models of the 911. If you want to enter the contest, click here.
