You are bidding on a 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. This is a clean, low miles (63k), privately owned car. I am not a dealer. Color is lapis blue with the sand beige leather interior. This is a loaded car, including navigation, tow package, 20" wheels with recent Toyo tires, oem ipod/iphone integration kit, interior wood accents, moon roof, adjustable air suspension, etc. This is a turnkey car, currently registed and ready to drive away. It passed NH State Inspection in October and has been driven about 3000 miles since. NH has very strict regulations for vehicle inspections including emissions and it passed with flying colors.

It has had all of the major updates that I know of that are needed and has been serviced. The car had an extended warranty until approximately 60k miles so all of the items below were done under warranty. Some of the repairs are still warrantied by Porsche or the warranty company.

Cardan shaft replaced- warranty in effect

Transfer case motor and electronic control box replaced- warranty in effect

Instrument cluster placed- warranty in effect

4 Toyo Proxess 4 tires installed, approximately 5k miles on them

Brakes done

Coil packs replaced

The factory Ipod integration system was added by the dealer. This was $800 to add, and integrates perfectly into the factory head unit. It allows a flat pin input for Iphone 4S or older (or lightnings with an adapter), and has a standard 3.5mm audio input jack as well for use with any phone or device.

The car is clean inside and out. The only flaws that I see are the typical minor curb abrasions on a few wheels and a very small nick in the dash pad from a radar detector falling down. The cup holder in the back seat sometimes sticks and does not go back in.

The title is clear, no liens. Unlike some of the other Cayenne's listed mine does NOT have a salvage or rebuilt title. Clean Carfax or Autocheck report.

Please feel free to make offers prior to close, I reserve the option to end the listing early as the vehicle is for sale locally. Transportation is at your expense, I do not quote shipping. Miles listed are approximate, in case it has been driven since listing.

Good luck!

Porsche planning Cayman GT4 racer

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

To say that Porsche is big in racing is like saying that Warren Buffett dabbles in mergers and acquisitions. But while it fields the 919 Hybrid at Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship, the bulk of its racing activities are undertaken by private teams that buy customer racecars from the factory. Those in turn are largely based on the 911, but the latest intel from the motor racing world indicates that Zuffenhausen is planning a more accessible customer race car.
The new, more affordable competition car is to be based on the Cayman and built to GT4 specifications, slotting in below the 911-based GT3 Cup, GT3 R and RSR. Autosport reports that Porsche has already developed a prototype and will shortly commence testing. Details are scarce at the moment, but the Cayman GT4 would seem to compete against the likes of the Aston Martin Vantage N24, Nissan 370Z Nismo GT4 and Maserati GranTurismo MC. It will also likely help Porsche foster enthusiasm for a potential road version that's already been spotted undergoing testing. Previous GT4 racing conversions of the Cayman, like the one pictured above, were carried out by third-party racing constructors not recognized by the factory.
Porsche may not be the only one showing interest in the category, however. BMW is said to similarly be considering a GT4-spec version of its M235i Racing model to compete in the same class, taking the place of the defunct M3 GT4 as the Bavarian marque's entry-level customer racing car.

Porsche considering turbo for new GT3 RS [w/poll]

Tue, 03 Jun 2014

Some automakers make one hardcore version of a sports car and are done with it. Or at least they make one at a time. Think Ferrari 458 Speciale, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera (or Super Trofeo Stradale or Squadra Corse) or Maserati GranTurismo MC. But not Porsche. It transforms the 911 into the hard-core GT3, the even harder-core GT3 RS, the you've-got-to-be-psychotic GT2 and the do-you-have-a-death-wish GT2 RS. The RS models take things to a further extreme, but what separates GT3 from GT2 models has traditionally been the use of foced induction: GT3s are naturally aspirated, while GT2s go turbo. But that could all be about to change.
According to the rumors making their round of the webosphere, Porsche is considering using a turbocharged engine for the next GT3 RS. The reason is that, as we all know, Porsche has already pushed the 3.8-liter flat-six in the existing GT3 about as far as it can go, and then some. And buyers expect not only a more bare-bones package with the GT3 RS, but also a bit of extra power.
Given that everything seems to be going turbo these days, the move might make some measure of sense, especially if Porsche wants to avoid with the GT3 RS the spontaneous combustion issues it faced with the GT3. But we can't help but wonder why, at that point, it wouldn't just skip the GT3 RS and go straight for the GT2.

Porsche 918 Spyder debuts with new N"urburgring lap record [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

It's been a long time in the making, but Porsche has finally revealed the final production version of its long-awaited 918 Spyder here at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And yet that's not even the big news surrounding the hybrid hypercar.
No, the big news is that, while Porsche was preparing taking the wraps off the car here in Frankfurt, elsewhere in Germany a team was setting a blistering lap time at the Nürburgring. And not just any blistering lap time, but a new world record.
Porsche claims that, on the morning of September 4, a team of three drivers (including former rally champ Walter Röhrl and Porsche test drivers Timo Kluck and Marc Lieb) broke the Nordschleife lap record, Lieb finally setting the best time at 6:57 at an average of 111 miles per hour.
