The time has come for me to sell my 2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo, this has been the best car I've ever owned and I will be purchasing a new one once this one sells.  This car has 30,000 miles on it however it is my daily driver so mileage will vary depending on when car sells.  It is black on black full leather, as you can see from the window sticker this car had an msrp of $155K, please don't compare it to one with significantly fewer options which may have dropped msrp down by $20k.  Dealers are charging $100K + for cars with similar equipment to mine not including all the upgrades I've added.  In addition to all the factory options I've added over $10,000 in additional options.  They include the following

$3500.00 FVD custom 590hp ecu tune (this required dealer removing ecu and shipping to Germany for reprogramming)
$1500.00 Techart Paddle shift kit (adds appropriate paddle shifting to the heated multi function steering wheel)
$1000.00 ipd intake plenum
$2500.00 Custom Installed Passport 9500 radar detector with front and rear laser shifters
$200.00 hard wired connection for Valentine 1 radar detector
$1500.00 Clear bra on entire front end, mirrors, lower rockers and in front of rear wheels
$300.00 window tint on all windows except windshield

The car has all maintenance up to date it needs nothing, and has been serviced by my local porsche dealer (napleton porsche) since I've owned it.  Warranty is in effect until June 2014 or 48,000.  Interior of car is almost perfect - there are no issues really worth mentioning but since it's 3 years old it's not brand new.  Exterior is also in excellent condition - there are a few stone chips on front end and on the lower rockers (when I bought car it did not have clear bra on it) but not noticeable till you're right up on them.  The underside of the front air dam has some scrapes from the air suspension setting it down on parking blocks (you can't see these unless you're laying on the ground).  Otherwise nothing else worth mentioning.  I've got 2 sets of wheels for the car 21" hre p45L in matte black which I run summer tires on, and the oem 19" turbo wheels which I run winter tires on, buyer can have his/her choice of which set they would prefer.  Car will come with all original manuals, 2 keys, etc.  With all the modifications this car is faster than a Turbo S for $50,000 less!  I have title in hand and will only except payment via wire or certified funds.  Car is hand washed & waxed.  Obviously local pickup is preferred but I will help with transport any way possible.  $1000.00 deposit expected within 48 hours of auction close through paypal.

Audi and Porsche squabble over future product platforms

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

In the buildup to the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi delivered an amusing video that worked on the playful rivalry between the German brand and its favorite frenemy, Porsche. We called it sibling rivalry, and at the time, it may have been just that. But just like sibling rivalries, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and that's just what seems to be about to happen in the formerly peaceful Volkswagen Group family.
A new report from Automobile calls out the growing animosity between Porsche, who is backed up by Bentley, and Audi, whose primary ally is Lamborghini. No blows have actually been thrown, although there is a fair amount of "he said, she said" going on.
As Porsche tells it, for example, the new global fullsize SUV architecture being developed by Audi isn't up to snuff, citing size and structure issues, as well as an inability to accommodate a wide variety of engines.

Porsche ready to pick itself up after Le Mans failure

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

It's safe to say that things for Porsche didn't go quite as well at Le Mans this year as it might have hoped. After a sixteen-year gap, the winningest manufacturer in endurance racing history returned to the Circuit de la Sarthe this year hoping maybe not for outright victory in its first time back, but definitely a strong finish on which it could build on for next year. All the while it undoubtedly hoped its 911s would hold their own in the GT classes.
Unfortunately for Porsche, neither happened. After racing around the clock, and despite actually leading the festivities for some time, the best its 919 Hybrid could manage was an eleventh-place finish, lagging lamentably behind not only the other LMP1s (like the race-winning Audi) but also a handful of LMP2s. Meanwhile the LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am titles went to the factory-backed teams of its arch-rivals Ferrari and Aston Martin, respectively.
Not a stellar result, in other words, but Porsche is taking it all in stride - accepting that it has a ways to go while congratulating its vanquishing rivals in the video below. It's good sportsmanship if we've ever seen it. Next year's race starts now.

Porsche Macan to get four-cylinder engines

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Porsche hasn't offered a four-cylinder engine since the 968 went out of production in 1995 - the better part of two decades ago. There'd been talk of a four-pot Boxster or an even smaller model to slot in below it, but while the latest intel indicates that Porsche is moving ahead with its four-cylinder plans, it's a different kind of vehicle that will get it first.
That, of course, would be the new Macan. Just revealed a few weeks ago at the LA Auto Show, the Macan crossover is being launched with a pair of twin-turbocharged V6 engines (a 3.0 with 340 horsepower and a 3.6 with 400 hp) and a six-cylinder turbodiesel with 258 hp. But smaller engines, according to emerging reports from Autocar and Auto Express, are on their way.
Word has it that Porsche is preparing a 2.0-liter turbo four with 280 horsepower and a diesel with the same displacement and cylinder count, engines that will power new entry-level Macan models that will slot in beneath the existing Macan S, Macan S Diesel and Macan Turbo. While the diesel is tipped to be ported over from the Volkswagen parts bin, the four-cylinder gasoline engine is said to be under development by Porsche itself, which could mean it will have a boxer layout.
