Here is my 2011 Ram 3500 Mega Cab 4x4 Longhorn Dually. This has the 650 ft lbs of torque and 350 horsepower. It pulls like a freight train. It does NOT have a gooseneck or fifth wheel plate install in bed, no drilled holes. I used it to pull a 25' bumper pull trailer weighing about 9,000 lbs. I'm selling because I get corporate trucks to use for pulling and don't want a truck this nice sitting. This is the longhorn package which has the cattle brown leather and western stitching, absolutely beautiful. This has every available option including sunroof, DVD, Alcoa rims, factory sprayed in bed liner, automatic transmission, navigation with backup camera, class IV hitch, backup sensors, automatic climate, heated front and rear seats, cooled front seats, power driver and passenger seats. Completely stock with no modifications and complete service records for oil changes. No accidents or issues of any kind. It has just over 23,000 miles which is really low for the year. Ram CEO rules out Hellcat pickup for now [w/poll]
Mon, 03 Nov 2014If you've been waiting for Chrysler to shoehorn its new Hellcat engine into the Ram 1500 pickup, you may be waiting a while. Our compatriots at Car and Driver spoke to Ram CEO Bob Hegbloom about the prospect of a Hellcat pickup, and his answer was less than promising: "At this time, I would say no."
That doesn't mean it'll never happen, but does suggest that such a project is not currently in the cards. Which is a bit of a shame, considering how the last Mopar muscle truck turned out. The Dodge Ram SRT-10 was powered by essentially the same V10 engine as the Viper, channeled (in the short-cab version anyway) to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual. The supercharged, 707-horsepower Hellcat engine now available in the Challenger coupe and Charger sedan is even more powerful, and would make one heck of a performance truck - the kind that, long-travel suspension aside, might make some enthusiasts forget all about the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.
In the meantime, we're still holding out hope that the Trackhawk name registered by Chrysler recently will point the way towards a Hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. Where would you most like to see the Hellcat engine pop up next?
YouTube tallies votes for this year's top five Super Bowl spots [w/video]
Tue, 19 Feb 2013When we asked you to tell us which of this year's 16 car-themed Super Bowl commercials you liked best, you chose the Farmer commercial from Chrysler Group, advertising the Ram trucks, over Audi's Prom commercial in second place. Turns out the voters in YouTube's Ad Blitz poll agreed, voting the same commercial to the number one spot from among the field commercials in every category.
From there, however, they went in a totally different direction. Budweiser's The Clydesdales spot came second, Samsung's The Next Big Thing took third. The Jeep Whole Again ad scored fourth in the YouTube poll, fifth in our poll of auto commercials, and the Hyundai Team spot got fifth from the YouTubers, but ninth in our poll.
The voting results don't match up with the viewing numbers, though - while Farmer has more than 13 million views, The Next Big Thing is well beyond 21 million. You can read the press release below and see all five spots, lined up for you, one more time.
