Is That Car New? No, but it looks, runs and drives like it is!!! Whether you are shopping for yourself or another, here is a Saab 9-3 that is simply gorgeous and a prize example of how nicely you can maintain a car. This one rides beautifully with a dry 2.0L 4-cyl that purrs along beautifully, the 5-speed manual transmission shifts perfect through the gears, the brakes and suspension are strong and track straight as an arrow going down the road, and the exhaust is quiet. The car has plenty of pick-up with the turbo kicking on just as it should and we cannot find a fault with this one, especially with valid inspection stickers. The interior of the car is pristine with nice genuine leather seats that do not show a tear, rip, burn or stain, the carpets are immaculate, the cargo area was never even looked at, the headliner is clean and tight to the roof and the dash is in perfect shape with no cracks. All the power buttons work as they should including power memory heated seats, cd/tape/radio, and locks & windows. The a/c is cold, the heat is hot, and if it wasn't for the ABS light on (needs front wheel sensor) , I'd pin it for a perfect one. The body of the car is beautiful with no major dents, the original paint shines brightly and is a terrific looking one from any angle. There are no cosmetic defects to speak off besides glass on driver's side outside mirror being hazy but doesn't detract from this 9-3 good looks and even has a almost brand new set of tires beneath it. Just serviced at the Saab Shop in town with fresh oil change, new gas tank float assembly and rear hub. Don't miss out on this beautiful car!!! Bid early and bid often on this gorgeous Saab 9-3!!! Good luck!!!

Victor Muller to pay Sweden back taxes for Saab work

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

Victor Muller, Saab's CEO from 2010 to 2011, has been ordered by the Swedish court to pay the back taxes he owes the country for his work at Saab, Autoweek and Volkskrant report. When he was the automaker's CEO he received a salary of about 8 million Swedish Krona ($1.25 million), which was recorded as a reward for consultancy work for a company in the US that Muller owns. The move allowed him to evade taxes for awhile, but the court has ordered him to pay taxes on his full salary.
Muller, who is also CEO of Spyker, and two other Saab executives were accused of accounting fraud in May, which took place in 2010 and 2011. According to reports, Muller maintains that he is not subject to taxes in Sweden.

NEVS to build new Saab models in China's Qingdao

Thu, 10 Jan 2013

National Electric Vehicle Sweden has officially signed a deal with Qingdao Qingbo Investment Company that will see the NEVS build EVs in Qingdao, China. The move is the first step on the road toward eventually selling vehicles in China. Reuters reports that the Chinese company has agreed to invest $307.33 million, after which point Qingdao Qingbo will receive 22 percent of the NEVS shares. Currently, there's no word on exactly when the funds and shares will change hands, but the Swedish automaker has previously said it fully intends to launch its first EV by early 2014.
NEVS has also made waves about potentially building a version of the old Saab 9-3 with a traditional internal combustion driveline. Currently, the manufacturer says it plans to ship the vehicles it builds in Sweden to the Qingdao port and distribute them to the rest of China from there. Later down the line, a manufacturing facility in Qingdao will supply the country with Chinese-built Saab models.

Spyker to appeal dismissal of Saab lawsuit against GM

Fri, 21 Jun 2013

It seems as if Spyker CEO Victor Muller has made a decision on whether or not to pursue a legal battle between his company and General Motors. Spyker has announced it will appeal a US District Court decision to throw out the company's lawsuit against GM. As you may recall, on June 10 Judge Gershwin Drain ruled tht GM had a right to approve or disapprove Spyker's sale of Saab to Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile. Spyker sued GM for some $3 billion, claiming that the American automaker had forced Saab into bankruptcy by stopping Spyker from transferring intellectual property to its Chinese partner.
Spyker has said only that it plans to appeal the decision. Until now, the company has been silent about the ruling. GM, meanwhile, has said it is pleased with the original outcome. You can read the quick Spyker press release below for more information.
