Jdm Rhd 2001 Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti Gc8 Version 5, 2.0 Turbo, 5 Speed, Must Sell on 2040-cars
Montgomery Village, Maryland, United States
I am selling my RHD 2001 Subaru Impreza WRX STI GC8 version 5 with 5 speed manual transmission. The car is a 2001 Impreza 2.5 RS and it currently have approx 133k miles on the body and about 60k-70k miles on the JDM swap. The swap was done by a shop at beltsville MD by a professional that has done many swap before. I swapped it with a whole entire front clip so it was not a bunch of mix and match parts. The body is great condition with no rust at all. The car has all power features, am/fm/cd/cass, momo steering wheel from factory, BBS sti wheels from a 2004 sti, JDM sti suspension all the way around, ac/heat with climate control, sunroof, cat-back Greddy exhaust, K&N intake, Walboro fuel pump and much more. The only thing bad is the fuel guage don't work, ABS and airbag light is on. This car was never abused, raced, or tracked. It's all pretty much all stock and has never been tuned. It runs and drives perfect with no problems. I've owned the car for the last 4 years but I've never registered it until this May. All aftermaket items were put in the last 3 years. There are no leaks at all. The only reason I am selling it is because I need to cover some debts I have. I have free and clear title in hand. Very very serious inquires only please, NO joy rides. Must show available funds before test drive. I am not looking to part out anything. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Subaru Indiana plant to stop building Toyota Camry
Fri, 15 Nov 2013Subaru may be set to end production of the Toyota Camry at its Lafayette, IN facility by 2017, according to a report from the Louisville Journal-Courier and a CBS affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina. Speaking to the plant's Executive Vice President Tom Easterday, the whole affair sounds like a done deal.
"Based on changes in Toyota's production plans, they have decided that the award-winning Camry production contract will not be renewed," Easterday said. Easterday was quick to emphasize that just because Camry production would end, doesn't mean jobs will be lost. "There will be no loss of jobs at SIA as a result of this," he said, before adding that the loss of Camry production will have no impact Subaru's $400 million investment to ready the plant for Impreza production in 2016. That said, adding a promised 900 jobs may take longer than originally planned, as Camry production staff are set to be retrained on Subaru production.
SIA currently has the capacity to produce 100,000 Camrys per year, and began production of the family sedan in 2007 alongside production of the Subaru Outback, Legacy and eventually, the soon-to-be-discontinued Tribeca.
2015 Subaru WRX gets down and dirty
Fri, 13 Dec 2013Looks rarely tell the whole story. We'll admit to being a bit let down by the Subaru WRX and its rather conservative appearance - where were the gold wheels and the spoilers? Hatchback? World Rally Blue? But after seeing it in this video and hearing that signature, throaty growl while this red example drifts and slides around dirt roads, we're starting to get more excited.
While the growl is the main reason for watching the clip below (you should do that now), Subaru has also thrown in some information about the improved suspension, and increased power. Learn along with us, below.
Scion trying to build business case for FR-S convertible as Subaru bows out
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Hope may remain for a convertible version of the Scion FR-S, according to a report from Ward's Auto. You'll recall that rumors were swirling about the feasibility of a rear-drive Toyobaru convertible as early as October, and that back in November, Subaru - which makes the FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 - essentially nixed the idea of an open-topped variant.
"We make the car, so if we don't make it, it can't happen," brand chief Yasuyuki Yoshinaga told Automotive News, according to Ward's, at the Tokyo Motor Show. "Our engineering department told me that losing the entire roof requires a complete redesign of the structure. It would need a big change."
Despite Yoshinaga-san's arguments against a droptop variant, Toyota is apparently still considering the model. Speaking to media at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, Scion's US vice president, Doug Murtha, hinted that the rear-drive droptop was in the works.
