Just upgraded and selling my Subaru Wagon - It has been an awesome car, runs great - never any problems or left me standing. I did just replace the rear brakes & rotors less than 20 miles ago, the exhaust system a year ago, belts in the spring and it has a brand new battery. The person that we bought this from in late 2010 told me that the timing belt and water pump had also been replaced.

As you would expect with a 13+ yr old car, it has 180K miles and does have a few normal cosmetic "issues"- missing panel on back interior of hatch, rear hatch latch not opening for me again, a couple of silver dollar sized New York rust spots starting around the rear fender / wheel well, hood stays closed - no problem but, not completely tight/flush, rubber trim around doors needs to be re-attached - (see pics) please email if you want any additional pictures or information. This is a great, reliable car, never been in an accident, air conditioning is cold & works perfectly, all power windows work, no rips or tears in seats, non-smoking - interior is in great condition - no abuse. Local pick up only - Cash, Paypal or Check - if paid by check - must wait for it to clear before car is picked up.

Realistically, many enthusiasts give horrible, horrible car buying advice. They will recommend something bizarre, inappropriately high performance, compromised or utterly impractical for a given consumer's needs, and they'll almost never recommend something that makes sense. And then they'll come up with 3.7 million reasons why the leading vehicle someone is thinking about is a bad choice.
Or maybe that's just what I do.
Regardless, if you poke, prod, bother or just get us drunk enough, eventually you'll begin getting honest feedback. And more than likely, we'll tell you, in hushed tones, about the many virtues of very, very boring cars. We'll talk about why the Toyota Camry is actually a pretty decent purchase or we'll explain how spacious and feature laden the Nissan Versa is.

Subaru readying special-edition BRZ

Another week coming to a close brings another rumor of a potential hotted-up version of the Subaru everyone wants to turbocharge, the BRZ.
A fresh rumor out of the Car and Driver offices makes the claim that a new, special-edition BRZ model will be offered up within the next few months. Word is that the new model will not get similar upgrades to the recent BRZ tS (seen above) for the Japanese market, meaning we're likely in for a cosmetic update instead of a functional one.
The looks of the tS could still be in the cards, however, meaning swapped-out lip spoiler, wheels and even STI badging might be on the way.
