This is a good little off road beast but it is far from perfect. I'll do my best to be up front with all known issues, just keep in mind that this is a 1988 off road vehicle and was used as such. It does have some rust and dents and oil leaks. The worst of the dents is in the drivers side rocker where a deer thought he had the right of way. The drivers seat has some tears in it and the tach don't work because of the MSD ignition but I do have an after market one that goes with it, you have to install it. This vehicle has been highly modified and I'll try to list them all. The engine is the stock 1.3, the head has been rebuilt and a new isky cam was installed less than 1000 miles ago. It has a new header with full exhaust. New 8mm plug wires and MSD ignition and coil, 105 amp GM alternator, Harley Davidson CV carb with custom built intake (it does start good in cold weather). It does need a pan gasket and I'm gonna try to do that in the next few days. It's been lifted about 8 inches or so and has 4.57 gears in both diffs and rides on 33 X 16 tires. Spidertrax 1 inch wheel spacers, trail tough shackles in the rear, BMW high steer mod, and Zor "Snatch" t-case mount. It has the doorless mod and has grenade door handles and shifter knobs. It has new aftermarket bumpers front and rear with l.e.d lights, Bushwacker 6 inch flares, roof rack with 100 watt lights and a hi-lift jack mounted on the front bumper. Inside it has diamond plate panels, 5 way harnesses, Tracker steering wheel, and an aftermarket stereo with aux input. I also have various parts that go with it, extra t-case, tranny, rear diff with 4.57 gears, mini spool and 1.6 Tracker engine. The odometer is showing 16371 miles but i know its been turned over. The title is clear. I will not ship this vehicle, you'll have to come get it. 500.00 deposit within 48 hours through paypal and balance to be paid in cash or through paypal.

Which automaker's 84-year-old CEO is making investors nervous?

Sun, 06 Jul 2014

We haven't heard much about Suzuki since it decided to leave the US market in 2012, but things are going well for the little automaker these days with the recent announcement of record annual profits. It would seem that investors should be ecstatic, but they are starting to question the man at the helm. Company president and chairman Osamu Suzuki is now 84 years old and is guaranteed at least one more year as the leader, but shareholders want to know who is taking his place when the inevitable happens.
We're not being ageist, here. As long as the Suzuki can run the company to the satisfaction of investors, he absolutely deserves the top spot. According to Bloomberg, the issue making shareholders so edgy is that the business doesn't have a transition plan in place. The president obviously isn't a young man, and folks are worried that if something happens suddenly, there could be chaos deciding a successor and a free-falling stock price.
Suzuki's tenure at the company is somewhat astounding. He married the granddaughter of the founder and took her name because the family had no male heirs. In world where many people hope to retire as soon as possible, he's worked for the same automaker for the last 50 years, including stints as company president from 1978 to 2000 and 2008 to the present. Investors aren't questioning the president's ability as a business leader; they just want a clearer understanding of the automaker's future direction.

Suzuki back in MotoGP for 2015

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

It had been planned for 2014 but it's going to be 2015 instead - that's when Suzuki returns to the manufacturer ranks of MotoGP after quitting the series at the end of 2011 because of The Great Recession. When Suzuki stopped after 37 continuous years of racing, it said it intended to return three years later and it has been in talks with MotoGP's rights holder, Dorna Sports, since last year. No doubt, though, that fan anticipation of the team's return outdoes any dismay at the delay. It will join Yamaha, Honda and Ducati in the premiere league.
Its bike has already been testing in Japan and was with the official MotoGP tribe in Barcelona, Spain on Monday when Suzuki announced its return. It's said the development bike is called the XRH-1, being ridden by official tester Randy de Puniet (who currently races in MotoGP on an Aprilia-based bike with TeamAspar). and after a day of testing de Puniet got the new Suzuki to within seven-tenths of a second of the top time posted by other MotoGP teams. Davide Brivio, who once ran the Fiat-Yamaha team and has been close with Valentino Rossi, will be the team manager.
Speaking of Rossi, The Doctor is back with Fiat-Yamaha after a bad run with Ducati but is only contracted to the end of 2014. Brivio is the man who got Rossi to join Fiat-Yamaha, then got him to Ducati. Until he took the head of Suzuki's works effort, Brivio was working with Rossi's VR46 management company, heading areas like merchandising. The rumormill has already begun its work, with folks wondering if Rossi will head to Suzuki in 2015 if his second stint at Yamaha doesn't prove fruitful before then. Scroll down below for the official press release from Suzuki.

Suzuki sallies forth with new C-segment crossover with fishy S-Cross Concept

Thu, 27 Sep 2012

It's not what we'd call attractive, really, but at least the new S-Cross Concept is something fresh from Suzuki. Introduced to the world at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Suzuki says the pale green machine previews its upcoming production C-segment crossover.
We hope some of its fishier elements - according to Suzie, the specially created Crystal Green Metallic body color evokes "nature in the city and the city in nature", whatever that means - remain in the conceptual pond, but either way, it's good to see that the Japanese automaker hasn't lost its will to compete in a heated segment of the market. In fact, Suzuki promises that the S-Cross "will be the first in an ambitious program of annual European model launches which Suzuki will be starting in 2013. "
What are the chances we'll see a production version of this crossover concept in the U.S.? Your Magic 8 Ball is as good as ours... In any case, feel free to peruse the press release below.
