2001 Toyota Sienna Mini Van - Family Work Travel Trailer Hitch Loaded 159k on 2040-cars
Jamison, Pennsylvania, United States
Offered is this 2001 Toyota Sienna mini-van.
I bought the van from a friend about 18 months ago and am the second owner, I used it lightly while I had it and no longer need it. The van has a bit under 159,000 miles. The van is in good condition, runs and drives great, quicker than I figured a mini van would be. The engine is good, no knocking or grinding. The transmission shifts smoothly, no issues. The body is good, a few scratches, dings and scuffs, no major damage, no rust, clean and sturdy underside. Almost new tires with 90% tread, new breaks and rotors. The van has power everything, the power side door seems to work when it feels like it. Most everything in the van works as far as power options and the interior is in good condition. The van is equipped with a towing hitch. There is a bit of staining to the carpet in places but there are mats that cover up the discolorations pretty well. The van has a DVD player under the driver seat and a TV built into the ceiling for back seat viewing. I turned it on for the first time the other day, the TV turned on but didn't want to recognize the DVD player for some reason. I spent all of 60 seconds playing with it so it may work correctly if it's troubleshot by someone with more extensive knowledge. There has been an issue with an O2 sensor and from what I understand it's a pretty common problem. The sensor was replaced a few times before I bought the vehicle and I had it replaced again it last summer to get the check engine light off. By March of this year, the check engine light was on again for the same sensor. The light goes on and off so I'm not sure what the deal is. I have the paperwork on the replaced sensors and most if not all of the vehicle's maintenance over the years verifying the part has been replaced time and time again. There is also an issue with some knocking from the rear break drums, another common problem but not a major one from what I understand. Basically, the van knocks a bit from the rear end when coming to a hard stop. I've read it's more of an inconvenient thing to have to listen to rather than a major maintenance problem. Payment due within 7 days of sale. I would prefer check, money order or cash. All checks must clear before the vehicle can be shipped. Buyer is responsible setting up shipping and for all associated shipping costs. Local pick up is okay too. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by message or phone (570 499 1524) my name is Frank. |

Suzuki recalling 184k GM-built models for fire risk
Fri, 23 May 2014Suzuki is recalling 184,244 total units of the 2004-2008 Forenza (pictured above) and 2005-2008 Reno manufactured under contract by Daewoo, now General Motors Korea, between September 1, 2003, through July 30, 2008, for a risk of fire. The exact split in terms of number of each model isn't available yet.
In the vehicles, the heat generated in the headlight switch or daytime running light module could cause the parts to melt and cause a fire. If this sounds somewhat familiar, it's the same reason that 218,000 units of the 2004-2008 Chevrolet Aveo are being recalled. According to General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler: "It's the same issue."
Adler explained that as the contracted manufacturer, GM is responsible for finding a remedy to this problem and providing it to Suzuki. It's a similar situation as Toyota recalling the Matrix and giving the automaker the repair parts to fix the Pontiac Vibe, which shares the platform.
Suzuki recalling 200K crossovers over airbag woes
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Suzuki may not be selling any new cars in the US anymore, but there are still plenty of them on American roads. Nearly 200,000 of those will need to be taken off said roads - for a little while, at least.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for 2006-2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara SUVs and 2007-2011 SX4 crossovers due to a faulty airbag sensor. The issue apparently results from the front passenger-side floor mat causing the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor to malfunction over time, so whether there's a kid or an adult in the front seat, the airbag could deploy in the event of a crash.
As a result, Suzuki Motor of America is calling in 193,936 vehicles to replace the front passenger-seat cushion assembly. That's a whole lot of cars to recall, but it comes as no big surprise. Owners can expect to be notified in October. Full details in the recall announcement below.
Suzuki recalling 2,800 XL7 models over faulty fuel pump
Sat, 29 Dec 2012A recall has been issued for the 2007 Suzuki XL7, but only those vehicles either bought or registered in four states: Texas, Arizona, California and Nevada. Potentially 2,380 of the SUVs manufactured from June 13, 2006 to December 22, 2006 could have an issue with their fuel pump modules: The plastic supply or return port could crack. If that happens, it could lead to a fuel leak and then to a fire.
Suzuki hasn't said when the recall will begin. Once it does, owners will be notified and can have their dealers make the necessary repairs free of charge. There's a bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below with more information.
