Some of the trim pieces in the rear of the vehicle have been removed to facilitate easy (un)installation of the removable roof section. Exterior is good. The truck has a few very minor scratches, and slight fading on the roof. No fading on the hood or sides of truck, virtually rust-free."

For sale is my 1989 Toyota 4Runner SR5 with a removable top, similar to the old Broncos and Blazers. It comes with Toyota's 3.0 liter V6 engine, a 5-speed manual transmission, and 4-wheel drive in both high and low gearing. It currently has 214k miles on it, but the engine runs very strong, with a recently replaced head gasket.
The primary concern with these trucks is the rust, but this truck was purchased in St George, Utah and has never seen a Minnesota winter, so the frame and undercarriage are entirely rust free.
It has a Pro-Comp 4 inch suspension lift, 35-1250R15 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires and custom aftermarket wheels. There are both front and rear aftermarket bumpers, as well as a set of 2 PIAA brand lights on the front, wired in and functioning.
It also has a tow hitch and wiring for trailer lights on the back, a functioning CB radio, power locks and windows, as well as a power rear tailgate window and a sunroof. The heat is hot and the air conditioning is cold, and all the fan/vent controls work. The gauges all work and it also has a cool OEM combination altimeter/incinometer on the dash. the truck has 2 bucket seats with a dual-storage center console in the front, with a 50/50 split folding bench seat in the rear for cargo space.
There is an aftermarket stereo system which includes head unit, 4 speakers, 2 tweeters, and a 500 watt amp that is wired in and sub-ready. The paint is starting to fade only on the roof of the removable top. There are a few minor scratches, but no dents anywhere. The interior is very good for a truck this old. the front is nice and clean, the rear is decent, but missing a few trim pieces to make removing the roof easier. All pictures shown are up to date, and I can provide more on request.

2015 Toyota Sienna

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

It's hard to love a minivan, but it's very, very easy to use one. More than any other kind of vehicle - save a panel van, perhaps - the minivan is the most appliance-like of four-wheeled transportation devices. And most minivan buyers don't need to love their purchases; they just need to use them. So when it comes to a minivan's driving dynamics, who cares?
Well, we do. So we perked right up when Toyota talked about refinements it made to the 2015 Sienna, starting with some 142 added spot welds made to the body structure. Normally not stop-the-presses stuff, but Toyota says the added reinforcements prompted Sienna engineers to recalibrate the springs and shocks for improved handling, and our very limited wheel time along the (admittedly benign) roads on the Big Island of Hawaii revealed the 2015 Sienna SE model's handling to be tidier and more engaging than you'd expect for a porky, 4,560-pound, eight-passenger box on wheels.

Two new RWD Toyota sports cars to join FR-S?

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Toyota as we know it could become a thing of the past. According to Australian site Car Advice, the Japanese brand known for bland cruisers like the Camry and Corolla is preparing to bring two new rear-drive cars to market that would slot above and below the Scion-badged FR-S. This is very, very good news.
Car Advice spoke to the GT86/FR-S' chief engineer, Tatsuya Tada, who claimed, "Akio Toyoda always says to me, Toyota sports car [family] should be three sports car brothers. 86 is in the middle." The oldest "brother" would be the spiritual successor to the Supra, even if it doesn't wear that name. Tada is in charge of that project, while a sub-GT86 project is being headed-up elsewhere.
Tada refused to comment on names (CA specifically mentions MR2 and Celica) for the new small car, but did say that, "Yes it is rear-wheel drive and that's Toyota's strong position - Toyota sports car must be rear-wheel drive." Perhaps the juiciest bit of information obtained from Tada's interview with Car Advice was his hinting that both new sports cars would be joint ventures, like the GT86/FR-S/Subaru BRZ triplets. Tada wouldn't say who Toyota was in bed with on the smaller model, but did mention that the Supra would be a product of the world's largest automaker's partnership with BMW.
