This Camry was purchased new and driven ~$50k miles through 2010.  The car was given to her Granddaughter who drove it ~50k miles in the next two years as a drug rep.  I bought the car from her for reliable transportation last year and am now relocating to Chicago.  This is very good Camry of this vintage and will provide reliable transportation for years to come.

The car has newer brakes, brand new Firestone Winterforce tires with <1,000 miles on them, new hub caps, wiper blades, all-weather floor mats, expanded 12v ports and XM radio.

The A/C works well.  The drivers window had an issue where it hopped out of the track.  We replaced the mechanism and it works fine now.  The power antennae doesn't work and is in the "up" position.  Power windows, locks, etc all work well.

There are some cosmetic issues:  The paint is in decent shape for the age.  It has some oxidation but has some remaining luster.  It does have some scratches, dents, etc and a rust hole in one of the wheel wells.  There is a good picture of that in the listing.

The interior is in good shape, especially for its age and is not ripped or torn.

The car drives very well and will easily go highway speeds smoothly and straight.  Brakes don't pull or tug, power steering is good.

I welcome your questions--please see my feedback on accurately representing what I'm selling.  If you're looking for world-class Toyota reliability at an affordable price, this is it.

Toyota, Lexus dominate KBB's Best Resale Value Awards

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Toyota and Lexus stormed the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards, winning a combined 18 categories including best brand and best luxury brand. This marks the third year in a row that both automakers have won the Brand and Luxury Brand resale value awards. In all, Toyota won 11 categories and Lexus won seven.
Honda made a good showing, as well, winning two segments (Accord Plug-In Hybrid and Civic Si) and putting one car on the top-10 Best Resale Value list (CR-V). Chevrolet did even better, winning two segments (with the V6 Camaro and the Corvette) and placing three cars on the top-10-overall list (again, the Camaro and Corvette, plus the Silverado 1500).
The other winners came from Jeep, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru and Audi. To give you a clearer picture of the Toyota and Lexus domination, their 18 mentions represents more than half of the 34 awards (including the top-10-overall list).

Vote to unionize Toyota Canada plant faces delay

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

Volkswagen isn't the only automaker with high-profile unionization efforts afoot at one of its North American factories. Unifor, Canada's largest private-sector union, is attempting to organize Toyota's factories in Ontario, reports Reuters. A vote was originally set for next week, but Unifor has apparently found more workers eligible to vote, delaying the proceedings. It hasn't rescheduled the ballot yet, but claims there are 7,500 employees with the right to vote, with over 3,000 having already signed union cards.
Toyota is pushing against organizing, saying that workers already have a payment and benefits near the top of the industry, and noting that it has never laid off a permanent employee in Canada. Unifor has reportedly countered by saying that about a quarter of the workforce is operating under a temporary contract, which receives lower benefits.
The automaker has three factories in Ontario - two in Cambridge and one in Woodstock. To form a union, a majority of eligible employees must vote to join Unifor. If successful, they would be the first wholly owned Toyota plants in North America to be organized. Previous attempts to unionize the Japanese automaker's Canadian factories in 2001 and 2008 failed due to lack of support.

Fuel cells will flop outside Japan, says VW

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

"It may fly within Japan, but not globally," VW's Shoji said.
It's long been battered into our beleaguered auto writer brains that the ultimate future source of motivation for tomorrow's cars and trucks is not gasoline, diesel, electricity, natural gas, propane or solar power - it's the hydrogen fuel cell. It's been the Next Big Thing since the start of Next Big Things.
