I have a super nice 1973 Toyota land cruiser it's the fj40 body style. It has the stock 3.8 inline 6 cyl with 3 speed on the floor. The motor does not leak or tick or knock or smoke. Runs great very dependable   It's a 84000 mile truck. Very clean inside and out. No rust. It has a new radio and speakers . All the exterior lights and dash lights work. The interior is rhino lined and the outside is a flat tan finish, almost like the military desert sand color. There seems to be some bondo on the rear corners but the inside of the panels look great. No rot. No rust on the frame. Small suspension lift. Runs 33x12.50 tires and black steel wheels. I have a brand new set of very aggressive 31 inch mud tires that go with it. The vehicle has been upgraded to Power steering and power brakes. Discs all the way around. Top, doors, and rear ambulance doors are great no dents or rust. Runs good and is capable of being a daily driver. Turns heads everywhere. Any questions call 910690two539. Clean nc title

Lightweight Toyota GT86 spotted on Nordschleife with carbon panels, upgraded aero

    Tue, 24 Jun 2014

We've seen (and frankly reported on) so many rumors of more powerful and performance-focused versions of the Subaru BRZ, Toyota GT86 and Scion FR-S at this point that haven't materialized that, at this point, we're almost tired of them. Almost. But what we have here was enough to pique our jaded interests as only a carbon-bodied sports car on the Nürburgring could do.
What we're looking at is, well, we don't quite know, to tell you the truth. What we can tell is that it's a Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S for us) wearing new wheels and a carbon-fiber hood, roof, racing-spec rear wing and subtle lip spoiler. The vents in the hood indicate that the prototype in question could be packing an upgraded engine to go with the lighter body panels and upgraded aero, and the interior (at least as far as we can see) looks pretty well stripped out.
The right-hand drive configuration tells us this is either destined for former territories of the British Empire or for the racetrack. Considering the ride height, full glass and apparent lack of roll cage, our money's on this prototype is being developed for the Japanese Domestic Market, where Toyota badges the sports car simply as the 86. We can always hope, though, that some version makes it into Scion showrooms in North America... we just won't get our hopes up too high.

Scion FR-S Convertible (in Toyota GT86 form) spied in South Africa

    Fri, 15 Feb 2013

Though the eventual existence of a convertible version of the Toyota GT86 (and its Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ versions for America) is a no-brainer, we've yet to get a glimpse of the real-deal car until now.
Spotted in Cape Town, South Africa, of all places, this completely undisguised GT86 convertible seems to be in a remarkably advanced state of development. The image seen here was obviously sniped from quite a distance and without the aid of a powerful lens, but we can still make out a production-ready looking piece of rear bodywork for the convertible top to hide away in, as well as a functioning trunk lid. It's hard to make out with any certainty, based on this evidence, but there does seem to be space retained behind the front seats for two, small rear chairs.
With the first car spotted, we'd expect to seem some more and better images of it flow through in the near future, and if not, Toyota has already confirmed a concept version for next month's Geneva Motor Show, dubbed FT-86 Open, so stay tuned. For now, click through to the FT86Club.com forum to have a slightly closer look at the images.

Toyota will steer clear of driverless cars

    Thu, 04 Sep 2014

Toyota executives say the company's primary focus is on safety. At least for the time being, that means the company won't pursue development of a driverless car.
Speaking at the company's advanced safety seminar in Ypsilanti, MI, Thursday morning, Seigo Kuzumaki, Toyota's deputy chief safety technology officer, said that Toyota envisions a future driving environment that optimizes the best of both humans and computers, not choosing one over the other.
"Toyota's main objective is safety, so it will not be developing a driverless car." - Seigo Kuzumaki
