This one is for all you Toyota fanatics out there. It's my 1-Owner 2000 Toyota Rav 4 AWD time capsule with just 40,000 original miles with the ultra rare 5-speed gearbox. Read on for a full description of this beauty.
Mechanically this yota is solid. Motor sounds healthy through all the RPM's. Clutch feels strong and goes into all the gears with no scratching. Has a brand new PA inspection until 1/15 and good oil change. Drives well down the road. Brakes feel good. Tires have about 95% tread left but are a little noisy on the road. You won't be disappointed with the way this peach runs. Cosmetically it is as fresh as they come. Paint shines absolutely beautiful in the sun. Body is straight with no door dings. The only thing you will find are a handful of small stone chips up front. No rust underneath or on the body whatsoever. Just gorgeous. Interior is flawless. From the dash all the way back to the cargo area. Smells good inside. Not smoked in. Just very well cared for all around. Overall you won't find another one like it. Sat, 16 Aug 2014If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.
Toyota Prius owners targeted by tire-slashing VA vandal
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Toyota Prius owners aren't bad folks. With a few exceptions, they're just normal people that appreciate the comfortable, high-mileage hybrid. Someone in Arlington, Virginia doesn't see it that way, though, as 14 examples (and one Smart) had at least one tire slashed last Sunday night.
The serial tire-slasher didn't any items from the vehicles, but he or she has left owners with substantial bills and sour dispositions. According to a report from ABC affiliate WJLA, some citizens are considering the matter a hate crime.
Despite the targeting of Toyota hybrids and the acquisition of one fingerprint, police have been unable to make any arrests, as the slasher has targeted vehicles across the county. Take a look at the local news report from WJLA below.
Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S sales disappointing worldwide?
Fri, 21 Feb 2014Okay, folks - it appears we've got a problem. The Toyota GT86, Europe's counterpart to our own beloved Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S coupes, is apparently not selling too well. This, according to Toyota's European Vice President of Research and Development, Gerald Killman, is what's limiting plans for additional variants of the rear-drive coupe.
"A faster version of that car would be at the top of most people's wish lists, but like the cabriolet, it is hard to justify a business case to push either model into production based on the current sales," Killman told AutoExpress. "Personally, I think that engine could use a little bit more," he added.
More troubling is that slow sales aren't limited to the Euro-spec car, with Killman claiming that the GT86 have been missing sales targets in major markets around the globe. It may not be that the US is one of those major markets, though. Scion's Vice President, Doug Murtha, tells Autoblog that his brand is happy with the sales of its version of the GT86, the FR-S. 18,000 units were sold last year, which Murtha says is "generally in line with original expectations for the car."
