Thank you for viewing my 2004 Toyota Tacoma, I bought this Tacoma in sunny Florida in April form the original owner where it had spent its entire garaged life. If you have been searching for a Tacoma your search has ended. This Tacoma only has 48000 original miles, finding a Tacoma in this condition with these miles is almost impossible. The interior is in perfect condition with ice cold AC. The exterior has 3 small dings, one on the passenger fender and 2 on the rear bumper. There are some small scratches and paint chips that is to be expected with a 2004 (being very picky) no pealing clear coat or faded paint. The Tacoma has a perfect Car Fax that scores a 98% The new owner will be handed a copy of the CarFax at the time of title transfer.Four BRAND New Michelin tires were installed 3 weeks ago. The underside of the Tacoma still retains the black frame original paint, the exhaust looks brand new. I am not running this Tacoma in a auction format, The price is set at $13,500.00 or BEST OFFER. All offers BELOW $11,000.00 will be automatically declined. If it does not sell, then I will keep it.
I will pick up the buyer at our local Detroit airport, or if you are shipping your truck I can drop it off at a local shipper. If you have any questions please ask. A $300.00 paypal deposit is due at auction's end. The remainder is due in cash at the time of pickup. Please view my feedback and buy with confidence . Thank you for looking

Toyota U2 urban utility concept inspired by Maker Faire [w/video]
Tue, 09 Sep 2014There's a quiet revolution happening in US cities. People want to mix an urban lifestyle with a connection to nature and appreciation for craftsmanship. The result of all of this is folks pursuing things as varied as urban farming, home brewing and the whole maker movement. Toyota thinks it has the perfect concept for these intrepid customers with its new Urban Utility concept that it is debuting during a panel discussion hosted by Make: magazine in San Francisco and debuting publicly on September 20 at the World Maker Faire in New York City.
The Urban Utility concept can best be described as a modern take on the old panel van. Designers from Toyota's Calty Design Research center in California interviewed Maker Faire participants to find out what its users want from a novel vehicle like this. "Toyota saw an opportunity for a new approach to an urban vehicle based on increasing re-urbanization of our cities and urban drivers' desire for flexibility, fun and maneuverability," said Kevin Hunter president of Calty.
On the outside, the Urban Utility doesn't really scream for attention. It's meant to meet users "desire for greater utility but a smaller vehicle footprint," according to the release, but the shape is still very much a van. The designers do try to lend it some panache with the LED headlights up front and checker board side panels. It's really more about utility than looks, though, because the roof can roll back for taller loads, the rear glass retracts into the tailgate, and the whole rear can fold down as a ramp to load stuff more easily into the cabin. Toyota isn't talking about a powertrain yet but claims that the underbody is also especially durable for a long life in the big city.
Toyota's production fuel cell car to cost between $50-100k
Fri, 03 May 2013
While the cost of building a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle continues to go down over time, reports over the last few years have steadily maintained that the first Toyota hydrogen-powered vehicles for customers should ring up for around $50,000. Company officials cited this figure way back in 2010, and have reiterated it in subsequent years.
So, while a recent Automotive News report about the cost of Toyota's 2015 Hydrogen car doesn't offer up any new figures, it does offer an interesting pricing wrinkle. According to the report, the "cost factor" for the hydrogen vehicles will be in the $50k ballpark, meaning the retail price could be anywhere from there, up to as much as around $100,000.
GM outsold VW globaly in first quarter, Toyota reports numbers next week
Thu, 18 Apr 2013General Motors released its first quarter sales figures this week, reporting that it sold 2.36 million cars and trucks worldwide. That figure represents an increase of 3.6 percent when compared to the same period last year. GM's growth was attributed to many factors, including global Cadillac sales that were up 26 percent and Chevrolet posting a one percent increase over last year (this marked Chevy's tenth straight year of record global sales).
Volkswagen came in just behind GM, as the German automaker reported global sales from January through March at 2.27 million vehicles, an increase of five percent when compared to last year. While that number was strong, VW is cautioning that markets outside China and the US, such as those in Europe, are becoming a challenge as economies falter.
Yet to report sales is Toyota, current holder of the global world sales crown (the Japanese company sold 9.75 million cars last year, against 9.29 million sold by GM and 9.1 million vehicles sold by VW). Even though GM and Toyota both say they don't care who sells the most units, it is unquestionably a strong bragging point and sales equate to revenue. That said, Toyota will report its first quarter numbers next week.
