Hello, here is your chance to own a wonderful low mileage Toyota Tacoma Extended cab 4x4. TRD package. This truck has the desirable v6 manual 5 speed combination. This is a no rust West coast vehicle. This vehicle has been regularly maintained with the oil changes being done every 4000 miles. As you can see in the pictures, the outside and inside of the vehicle are in great shape, with only a minor tear on the drivers seat seat cover. The seat underneath is in great shape. Small paint chip on tailgate area. size of a quarter, if that. The truck was used as a commute vehicle, Most of the miles are highway miles. The camper shell pictured also goes with the truck. Its a great camper shell. It has side opening windows on both sides to allow easy access to the bed area. This prevents you from having to crawl in and out of the bed to gain access to the front of the bed. Also the truck has a spray on bed liner. It has a after market Panasonic CD player. This has been a great truck with no repairs ever needed. The tires are approximately 65% to 75%, maybe a little better. Toyota to shock with Supra concept for Detroit Auto Show?
Fri, 06 Dec 2013We've written about approximately 187,000 rumors about a return of the Toyota Supra to the land of living cars. There are a couple of good reasons for this: first, Toyota won't stop dropping hints about a new halo sports car. Late this summer, Toyota sales guru Kazuo Ohara called a Supra successor "one of the options we have" - a comment followed by a hint that there would be "better news" on the subject in the future.
The second reason for all the Toyota tales is, of course, that we all have missed the Supra since its departure from the US market in 1998. So, when a member of the Autoblog team is party to a nudge-and-wink-filled conversation about a new Supra concept headed to January's Detroit Auto Show, we tend to listen up.
A 400+ horsepower hybrid sports car would match up pretty well with the upcoming NSX.
Toyota reaches $1.2B unintended acceleration settlement in criminal probe
Wed, 19 Mar 2014UPDATE: Just like that, Toyota has released an official statement confirming its $1.2-million dollar settlement with the US Attorney's Office. Our story has been updated to reflect this development and the automaker's official statement has been added below.
Toyota has reached a settlement over the criminal probe into its unintended acceleration problems, and the outcome is more expensive than first expected. The Japanese automaker has agreed to pay $1.2 billion to close the investigation among other settlement terms. The criminal inquiry focused on whether the company kept information from regulators and how it handled drivers' complaints about the problems, according to the sources.
Between 2009 and 2010, Toyota ended up recalling over 10 million vehicles worldwide over sudden acceleration fears. Fixes include modifying floor mats, gas pedals, and installing brake override software on affected models. In addition, Toyota made the latter standard on all of its new vehicles.
Toyota headed to New York with 2014 Highlander, revised Scion tC
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Toyota has given us a look at what the company will bring to the 2013 New York Auto Show. Visitors will get to set their eyes upon the all-new 2014 Highlander, and while the automaker isn't saying much in the way of details, we do get the teaser you see above (click to enlarge) to ponder on until next week. The image shows little more than a headlamp and a bit of grille, but gives us the flavor of what the crossover will bring to the table.
Scion, meanwhile, says it plans to dust off the "new 2014 tC sports coupe." While we don't imagine the two door will have undergone a major surgery, we're interested to see what the automaker has cooked up. The tC last endured a redesign in 2011.
