Up for sale is a 1992 Toyota Tercel, manual transmission. Car is 2 doors, has good body. Motor is blown, there is a hole in the engine block according to my mechanic. Needs to be replaced. Rest of the car works fine. Has good tires, interior is good, except for tear in driver's seat, but fixable. heater/ac work, very clean and well maintained. Great gas mileage. Body is good, needs a little polishing, but no big dents, rust or anything. We drove from California to Ohio on $118 gas in 2009. This was my son's car and he just got a new one since the motor went out. Would be a good reliable vehicle with a new motor. You can use up to a 94 or 95 Tercel motor as I understand it. Having said that, all offers SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED, Reserve is $500. message me or text questions to 740-590-4101. If I don't respond right away, I will on my break at work. My phone does not take messages, though, but I"ll see you called and will call you back ASAP. Thanks for looking and have a great day! Also, if you want the car, I'll tow it up to 100 miles to you, included in the price, if you want more than that, you pay the difference per mile to my AAA. Car sold AS IS and is represented honestly.

Toyota Prius sales could come up short in 2013
Sat, 06 Jul 2013A Toyota executive has said that the automaker's hybrid Prius model may not reach its 2013 goal of selling 250,000 units in the US marketplace. Bill Fay, group vice president for Toyota's US sales, told Reuters, "The 240,000 to 250,000 range is kind of where we're settling our sights for the Prius family."
The first-generation Prius, a five-passenger model, was introduced to the States in 2001 (its arrival made it the second mass-produced hybrid, after the two-seat Honda Insight). The second-generation model arrived in 2004, followed by the current third-generation design that arrived for the 2010 model year. The automaker has subsequently added the Prius V, a hatchback wagon (shown above) and the Prius C, a subcompact hatchback. As of March, 2013, cumulative worldwide sales of the Prius had reached 3.67 million units.
Last year, Toyota sold 236,659 Prius models in the US. However, sales of the model have fallen 5.1 percent in the first six months of 2013. In response, the automaker has boosted its marketing for the model, and the promotions are expected to continue through at least July.
Toyota sells off Tesla shares, too
Fri, 24 Oct 2014The incredible rise of Tesla's stock price has done little to now stop two major shareholders from ditching their stake in the American EV manufacturer. First, Daimler, parent company of Mercedes-Benz, ditched its four-percent stake, and less than a week later, Toyota is doing the same thing, selling off an undisclosed bit of its Tesla investment.
The move comes as Toyota winds down sales of the RAV4 EV, which gets its batteries and electric motor from Tesla at the company's Fremont, CA factory.
"We have a good relationship with Tesla, and will evaluate the feasibility of working together on future projects," Toyota spokesperson Kayo Doi told Bloomberg via email.
Toyota demos its TRD Pro Series line [w/video]
Fri, 07 Feb 2014With a rich history of creating off-road worthy trucks and SUVs and a somewhat bland impression of its brand overall, Toyota has wisely created a line of TRD Pro Series vehicles to spice up its showrooms and newly engage customers. Debuting at this year's Chicago Auto Show before rolling into dealers this fall, the TRD-tuned vehicles include the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra, all with added rough-road gear and amped-up looks.
The TRD Pro Series trucks might end up, in many cases, as lifestyle accessories for outdoorsy types, but that doesn't mean they're all show. TRD springs and Bilstein dampers are set up for off-road performance, while skid plates will protect the softish underbellies of these would-be rock-crawlers. The trio all get lifted over stock height, as well, with two-inch gains for the Tundra and Tacoma (lovingly referred to as "Taco Supreme" in the Toyota press release), and an inch-and-a-half rise for the 4Runner.
We detailed all of the changes to the Pro Series vehicles in our original announcement post, and you'll also find more granularity of information in the Toyota press release below. Before you dive in, however, be sure to take in our set of live, action-packed images from the Chicago Show floor.
