5 Speed 1.8 Liter Turbo Full Leather 28 Mpg P/w P/l P/s Clean!! Well Kept!! on 2040-cars
Beachwood, New Jersey, United States
This has been my husbands car since 2005. He drives it to work and back. The exterior is in great shape for a 14 year old car, some minor dings but nothing major. The interior is in really good shape, leather has no rips or tears, just maybe some minor wear. Carpet in excellent shape, floor mats all the way around. Has a trunk shade and spoiler! Also a sunroof in great shape! A/C and heat work very well. Mechanically, this Bug has been taken care of regularly. Recently, had a catalytic converter put in. Timing belt replaced about 90,000 miles, along with water pump. It needs shocks now. Will need a clutch in the near future. Check engine light comes on and off periodically but does not affect how it runs.... engine is strong and gets 28 mpg. Other than that, this is a really clean car that's been well taken care of. The reserve is very reasonable compared to other equivalent Bugs on Ebay. Any questions, just ask!! HAPPY BIDDING!!! $500.00 deposit within 48 hrs of auction ending and any balance in cash upon delivery :) |

VW redoes A-ha's 'Take On Me' music video
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Volkswagen has been responsible for its fair share of witty, clever commercials. "Tiny Vader" might be the most popular, but somehow, we think this newest spot will find a big audience. VW delivers not so much a cover, but a reimagining, of 1980s Norwegian pop band A-ha's famous music video for "Take On Me."
The original opens with an animated motorcycle race, which is revealed to be part of a comic book. VW's version replaces the motorcycle with a Passat, which strikes us as an oddly sober choice when there are cars like the GTI and Beetle in VW's portfolio. But never mind that - take a look down below for the entire 46-second spot. For reference, we've also included the original music video. And if you aren't a fan of the musical stylings of A-ha, just think, VW's choice of 1980s music could have been much worse.
VW looking to MAN up, ditch Mercedes van deal
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Unlike the US, the commercial truck market throughout the rest of the world is chocked full of competitors from many different automakers. Since 2006, Volkswagen has had a fullsize van called the Crafter that was a result of a partnership with Daimler AG and based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. This partnership is supposed to last through 2016, but Reuters is reporting that VW might be looking to end its relationship with Daimler and create its own van in cooperation with German truck and bus maker MAN.
The article says that VW AG has more than a 75-percent stake in MAN, which would essentially be keeping the new commercial vehicle in-house. Even if VW bolts, Daimler still has a deal worked out in the commercial truck industry between its subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso and Renault-Nissan to supply the other with different trucks.
Volkswagen Group previews its wares on eve of Geneva show
Mon, 05 Mar 2012The Volkswagen Group is comprised of 11 brands producing 240 vehicles across 49 factories throughout the world. So the best way to show off the range of the VW family is to cram a few thousand journalists and VIPs into a massive makeshift stand to outline the Group's goals, what's in the pipeline and what you'll be able to buy later this year.
To that end, VW pulled out all the stops on the eve of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, bringing along 10 vehicles from across the range. We'll be delving into the details of each over the next two days of show coverage, but before that happens, you can read all about what we saw tonight from the cheap seats after the break.
