For sale is a beautiful bus that was owned by a California shop. It was worked on for over a year. Here is the laundry list of the completed work and my applicable commentary:

Engine was redone including these new parts: motor mount, starter, heads, fuel pump, spark plugs, points, wire harness, battery, EMPI Dual Carburetors

Automatic Transmission includes: new transmission pump, transmission mount

New Front Brake Pads, New Hoses and steering flex disc

New Front Windshield

Body includes Red and White 2 tone paint, new front windshield, new wipers, door seals on front doors are brand new and doors do not shut tightly yet because they have not been broken in.

The inside contains stainless steel sink, refrigerator, fold down table for eating, closet for clothes, leather bench seat folds into bed, brazilian cherry hardwood floor.

Items that need to be fixed: the odometer just stopped working, the horn is not working. The bus has factory a/c but is not blowing cold. I have not had my mechanic look at this yet.

US-spec 2015 Volkswagen Golf and GTI to finally debut in New York

The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf is hardly new to us. In fact, we've already driven it. And elsewhere in the world, the new Golf is already winning awards. Even so, we still have yet to see the US-spec version of the car, though that won't be the case much longer. As part of the New York Auto Show festivities later this month, Volkswagen will finally show off the 2015 Golf models destined for our shores.
Three different versions of the Golf will debut under the lights of New York City's Javits Center: the turbocharged TSI, oil-sipping TDI and hotter GTI. The first model in that list uses Volkswagen's new 1.8-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, replacing the outgoing 2.5-liter naturally aspirated inline five-cylinder. The latter two models use familiar engines: the 2.0-liter TDI diesel and 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, respectively.
Even though the new Golf officially debuts later this month, it won't go on sale in the US until the first quarter of 2014. We'll be waiting patiently.

Volkswagen to add 50k jobs by 2018

Volkswagen still has its eyes set on becoming the top global automaker by 2018, and to get there, it's apparently going to need more boots on the ground. Automotive News Europe is reporting that VW is looking to increase its staff by 50,000 over the next five years - an increase of nine percent - which does not include an increase in its US dealer network.
According to the report, a majority of the growth will come from China where the automaker is also looking to double its production capacity in the same time frame. The Volkswagen Group is already expected to rival General Motors for the top sales spot in China this year, and such a rapid expansion in the region could make a good springboard for sales increases in other countries.
