1984 Westfalia VW Camper van, manual gearbox, with pop top, Vehicle has approximately 200,000 miles, but due to a past dashboard change out the listed mileage is 90,000. Vehicle has a 1.9L flat 4 gasoline engine which was re-built with new seals and lifters around 1000 miles ago. At that time a new clutch was installed. The canvas for the pop top is also new and is in very good condition.

The body is in good condition, with a few dings and dents but the neither it nor the chassis have any rust. There is a repair to the pop top where a crack appeared where the bolts for the support pass through it. It was repaired with fiber glass and a steel reinforcing plate. A radio/CD is included, but hasn't been wired in.

We have only lightly used the van since we got it, but it has been well maintained and is in overall great shape for its age. The a/c doesn't work. The lines underneath the vehicle had been removed before we bought it, but the a/c unit is included with the sale. It has just been removed from the engine compartment and sealed. The vehicle passed inspection and is currently roadworthy.

All the camping gear works. The stove lights and the fridge runs cold.

The vehicle is for sale locally and the listing may end early should it be sold.

$1.4B hedge fund suit against Porsche dismissed

Investors have canvassed courts in Europe and the US to repeatedly sue Porsche over its failed attempt to take over Volkswagen in 2008 (see here, and here and here), and they have repeatedly failed to win any cases. You can add another big loss to the tally, with Bloomberg reporting that the Stuttgart Regional Court has dismissed a 1.4-billion euro ($1.95B US) lawsuit, the decision explained by the court's assertion that the investors would have lost on their short bets even if Porsche hadn't misled them.
Examining the hedge funds' motives for stock purchases and the bets that VW share prices would fall, judge Carola Wittig said that the funds didn't base their decisions on the key bits of "misinformation," and instead were participating simply in "highly speculative and naked short selling," only to get caught out.
With other cases still pending, the continued streak of victories bodes well for Porsche's courtroom fortunes, since judges will expect new information to consider overturning precedent. If there is any new info, it could come from the potential criminal cases still outstanding against former CEO Wendelin Wiedeking and CFO Holger Härter, who were both indicted on charges of market manipulation.
