1997 Volkswagen Eurovan Camper. Super Clean, Time To Explore! on 2040-cars
Gold Hill, Oregon, United States
1997 VW Eurovan camper. This camper is awesome. We love it, it runs great and it's super-clean. It does everything you need and it goes anywhere you want!
We are the third owners and we've had it for many years. It's well love but also well taken care of. It's lived in the garage for the last decade at least. It looks like it's been in the garage it's whole life. It's never been smoked in but it has seen some occasional campfire smoke :-). You won't find a cleaner 1997 plus the mileage is low. Extras include: super heavy-duty floor mat in the back , great awning on the side, CD player with iPod hook up, we will include the important stuff like baskets, garbage cans, leveling kit, storage netting and the organizers you'll need to hit the road right away. The campers had a recent tuneup, transmission check and routine service. She is ready for her new home. The motor runs strong the transmission is great it'll pull a hill no problem. It goes where you want to go, it's V6 has plenty of power, the air-conditioning is awesome. When it's cold outside the furnace blows hot! It's everything you need, and super stylish. Get ready to enjoy the most waves and thumbs-up you have ever experienced. People dig these campers. |

World Car Of The Year down to its final four
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
Judges for the World Car of the Year Award have narrowed down the finalists to just four vehicles. Out of a total of 42 entries, only the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Porsche Boxster/Cayman, Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT-86 and Volkswagen Golf remain standing. For Volkswagen, this marks the second consecutive year the company has had an entry among the finalists, and the fourth time since 2009. In order to qualify, a vehicle must be on sale on two continents during the span of time between January 1, 2013 and May 30, 2013. A panel of 66 journalists from 23 countries then vote on the finalists.
Three vehicles have made the cut for the last round of voting on the 2013 World Performance Car as well, with the Cayman/Boxster and FR-S/BRZ/GT-86 running against the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Meanwhile, the Renault Zoe, Tesla Model S and Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid are duking it out for the World Green Car Award. Finally, the World Car Design of the Year Award is up for grabs between the Aston Martin Vanquish, Jaguar F-Type, and the Mazda6. Check out the full press release below. Overall winners will be presented at the 2013 New York Auto Show.
VW builds 250,000th Passat in Chattanooga in just two years
Sun, 26 May 2013It hasn't been without incident or union organizing drive, but the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, TN has built its 250,000 Passat in just a little over two years. The Night Blue Passat TDI with black leather has come just two years and five weeks after the first customer car came off the line on April 18, 2011.
In the last year the plant operated at the 150,000-unit capacity that it was intended for, but the downturn in Passat sales and subsequent worker layoffs mean it will be a challenge to repeat the feat. The plant does have the world's largest solar park, though, and you can't take that away from them.
You'll find the official hand-clapping in the press release below.
Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept is an aspirational Jetta
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Meet the Volkswagen baby CC. Okay, that's not really it's name (VW calls it the New Midsize Coupe Concept), but this sleek, four-door coupe draws more than a little inspiration from the CC while riding on VW's MQB platform.
It's a looker, we think, and is an eye-pleasing departure from the bland styling of the current Jetta. The sleeker front end is complemented by a wider body overall (it's wider than a Passat), while the more sporting roofline and the sharp rear fascia gives the New Midsize Coupe a decidedly sporting character. LED head- and taillights add a bit more personality to this already stylish design.
Thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, it should get along rather sportingly, as well. The run to 62 miles per hour takes just 6.5 seconds thanks to the 217 horsepower on offer. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also fitted, and contributes to an estimated 37 miles per gallon.
