2002 Vw Jetta Tdi **no Reserve**leather Sunroof Navy Blue 40+mpg Alloys on 2040-cars
Saluda, Virginia, United States
Here they come... GAS PRICES!! Every day they're creeping higher. Fight
back with this cool little car. The 2002 Volkswagen TDI with a turbo
diesel engine is rated at 40 MPG HWY and since it's a turbo, has all the
pep of a gasoline model. The tan leather interior is in good shape with
minor wear; it looks great for a 2002 model The tires have ample tread
left. All the steering and suspension components are in top-notch
condition; tight and free of any bumping, knocking or drift. The 1.9
Liter Diesel motor is solid. The timing belt and water pump service was done 30,000 miles ago. It runs strong and the turbo kicks in when
it's supposed to. It's a leak free engine too. The automatic
transmission shifts properly and on time, also no leaks from this one.
The VW Jetta is such a versatile car that it's hard to recommend it to any single type of consumer. It'd be perfect for the commuter, a small family, new driver, or anyone that drives. Imagine driving past gas stations, pointing and laughing all the way to your destination, then think about this car. Winning bid does not include tax, tags, and title plus $150 processing fee. VW redoes A-ha's 'Take On Me' music video
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Volkswagen has been responsible for its fair share of witty, clever commercials. "Tiny Vader" might be the most popular, but somehow, we think this newest spot will find a big audience. VW delivers not so much a cover, but a reimagining, of 1980s Norwegian pop band A-ha's famous music video for "Take On Me."
The original opens with an animated motorcycle race, which is revealed to be part of a comic book. VW's version replaces the motorcycle with a Passat, which strikes us as an oddly sober choice when there are cars like the GTI and Beetle in VW's portfolio. But never mind that - take a look down below for the entire 46-second spot. For reference, we've also included the original music video. And if you aren't a fan of the musical stylings of A-ha, just think, VW's choice of 1980s music could have been much worse.
Volkswagen iBeetle gets integrated iPhone dock, little else
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Apple fans have been itching to see the tech giant flex the full muscle of its iOS operating system in an automotive infotainment system for years, which is why we turned all sorts of excited when we caught wind of the Volkswagen iBeetle. The machine is headed to the Shanghai Motor Show for a debut, and VW promised it would be one of the "first cars in the world to have a genuine integrative interface for the iPhone that was coordinated with Apple." Listen closely, and you can hear the contented sigh of a million wallets opening.
Go ahead and close those up, kids.
In reality, the iBeetle offers little more than a dash-mounted dock and a special app that shows a few vehicle functions, which is about as far from an infotainment revolution as you're likely to find. In fact, the setup is little more than a factory rehash of aftermarket items, and hardly worth a whole model debut at an international motor show. And that's to say nothing of the fact that Apple relishes in changing the shape and form of its darling handheld at every generation. Volkswagen better be prepared to keep pace with appropriate docking mechanisms for the upcoming iPhone 5S, 6, 6S, et al.
VW looking to MAN up, ditch Mercedes van deal
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Unlike the US, the commercial truck market throughout the rest of the world is chocked full of competitors from many different automakers. Since 2006, Volkswagen has had a fullsize van called the Crafter that was a result of a partnership with Daimler AG and based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. This partnership is supposed to last through 2016, but Reuters is reporting that VW might be looking to end its relationship with Daimler and create its own van in cooperation with German truck and bus maker MAN.
The article says that VW AG has more than a 75-percent stake in MAN, which would essentially be keeping the new commercial vehicle in-house. Even if VW bolts, Daimler still has a deal worked out in the commercial truck industry between its subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso and Renault-Nissan to supply the other with different trucks.
