For sale is a 2006 VW Jetta, when i bought it 4 years ago, i was told that the car was previously in an accident and has a salvage title. since i got the car i've had no problems at all. car had around 43000 miles when i bought it. it's very clean, very few and small scratches. clean leather seats with no rips. car runs and drives with no problems. no leaks. everything works. heat is good. A/C is good and cold. radio works. Sunroof works fine. heated seats work fine. 2 tires are 4 or 5 months old. all the car needs is a good detail job. also, the code from the check engine light suggests that there is an issue with the catalytic converter... (around $250 on ebay) other than that, the car is in good shape being 8 years old..please ask any and all questions before bidding. no international bidders. no international shipping. i will only accept deposit through paypal within 48 hours of auction end.. balance due within 3 days of auction end. balance must be a wire transfer. a certified check will delay me releasing the car for an additional 7 days. i will not release the car until i receive and my bank clears payments... VW Up Buggy may be headed to showrooms

Volkswagen showed six conceptual takes on its Up at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, one of those being the Up Buggy. Although few will probably remember it, VW has not forgotten it, applying for a patent for the Meyers Manx revival roadster way back in March 2012 and being approved in June of this year, according to a report in Autocar. That will give the automaker a 14-year lock on the design while it decides whether to move forward with a reboot of its past.
A patent doesn't mean the Up Buggy will ever move beyond the sheet-of-paper stage, but Autocar says VW is studying the market to see if a production version is feasible. We can't see North America ever getting it, but even so, we wouldn't complain if they made it - especially if they put an exposed engine in back that was set off by 18-inch-long twin tailpipes jutting straight up into the air. However, for a company that aims to be the world's number-one automaker by 2018, a niche vehicle for its mass-market brand would be a surprising use of resources.

"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.

VW debuts Get Happy Super Bowl ad

Brace yourself for another tidal wave of Super Bowl commercials. Volkswagen has released its spot for this year's big game. Set to air during the second quarter, the Get Happy spot follows one jubilant office worker as he makes his way through the day, spreading joy wherever he goes. The source of his happiness? A Volkswagen Beetle, of course. Now, if you're wondering why a gaggle of white guys are running around on your screen with Jamaican accents, it will help to know the spot is part of a larger Get Happy campaign featuring Jimmy Cliff.
The first ad in the series featured the artist singing his rendition of "C'Mon, Get Happy," complete with a little help from some notorious unhappy YouTube stars. You can take a look at the new ad before it airs below, along with the complete press release for a little more background.
