Selling My wrecked 1968 Karmann Ghia . I was going to repair this , but I have too many projects and too little time . The car was on the road only a few months before the accident , so most wear items are in really good condition . This includes front suspension , shocks , brakes , and tires . the transaxle is good (used) . Most engine parts are included , but not all . There is a freshly machined block , bored for 94mm cylinders , a stock 69mm crank and rods , a pair of Mofoco high perf. dual port heads (one is damaged , it may be repairable but I was going to replace it). Two different webber progressive 2bbl carbs and two different intakes . A complete Petronix ignition with distributor , coil , and wires , chrome fuel pump ,aluminum valve covers , two sets of rocker arms , one stock ,one high perf , most engine tin , but no fan housing , a new high perf wide fan , starter , and tons of misc. hardware , nuts and bolts .There are no cylinders or pistons , no exhaust , and no upper shroud/fan housing . There is a rusty rear clip included with a good firewall and the upper section of the body . Included are four of the needed repair panels and two bonnet/engine covers (both have rust or damage but they may be useable) and both complete bumpers with brackets and a new front bumper center section . I know I've left out something , so please ask questions and thanks for looking !

Editors' Choice: Top Five 2013 Geneva Motor Show Debuts
Fri, 08 Mar 2013We've returned from a very busy week in Switzerland, and in going back over all of our 75 stories from the Geneva Motor Show, our editors have gathered up their personal favorite debuts from the European expo.
The wonderful thing about the Geneva show is just how wide of an array of vehicles are on display - everything from funny little one-off EVs to the most exotic of supercars to, well, truly ridiculous displays of coachbuilding. And because of that, this list of our editors' favorites might not be as predictable as you think.
But we don't want to give anything away just yet. Scroll down to have a look at our team's favorites from Geneva.
Volkswagen formally introduces super-efficient XL1
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Lightweight and low drag are hallmarks of great sportscar design. But when paired with a super-efficient, hybrid powertrain, you have the Volkswagen's XL1 that has been formally introduced in Geneva today.
When the 1,700-lb, carbon-fiber-bodied two-seater hits the road, its claimed 261 miles per gallon will make it the world's most-fuel-efficient production car. Though "production car" might be a stretch since VW said in a February press release that the XL1 would be built using "handcrafting-like production methods." We translate that to mean you won't be seeing many of these cars on the road. Though no one at VW has mentioned pricing yet, early rumors suggested a six-figure price tag.
That's supercar budget for a vehicle that has a 47-horsepower, two-cylinder diesel engine and a 27hp electric motor. With numbers like that, owners can expect 0-62 mph times of 12.7 seconds and top speed near 100 mph.
VW confirms development of 10-speed dual clutch, 134-hp/liter diesel
Fri, 26 Apr 2013Each year, the Vienna International Motor Symposium showcases some of the up-and-coming technologies automakers are engineering for the use in passenger cars, and Volkswagen AG CEO Martin Winterkorn revealed some big developments VW is working on for its future products. Winterkorn discussed a multi-faceted approach that VW is looking to reduce its fleet fuel consumption and exhaust emissions.
Some of the bigger news he discussed included a "high-performance" diesel engine that will produce 134 horsepower per liter and a 10-speed DSG automatic transmission. While no specific applications were mentioned, we can only hope this is for the Audi R4 we keep hearing about.
Another topic he touched on that caused us to perk up our ears was had to do with VW's plug-in hybrid technology. While we know the PHEV versions of the Audi A3 and Porsche Panamera are on the way, Winterkorn also said that these two models will be followed up by Golf, Passat, Audi A6 and Porsche Cayenne plug-in models. Scroll down for a press release highlighting the automaker's future fuel-saving initiatives.
