2008 Volvo C30 T5 Hatchback 2-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Durham, North Carolina, United States
2 very small scratches on rear bumper, no mechanical problems ever, no wrecks ever, non-smoking environment, clean title, moonroof, heated seats, both keys, powered windows/locks/alarm, key lock/alarm, 2 door automatic, leather seats. I'll even throw in my aux cord for your ipod.
I am the second owner, I bought it used at an audi dealership about 3 years ago. I am only selling it because I am moving to NYC where I will not need it. I absolutely LOVE this car. His name is Sven and I hope to find a good home for him. He has been loved and taken care of. I had new tires put on about a year ago, and haven't driven too much since. You will need to come look at the car and pick it up yourself. Payment will be through paypal only to ensure there is no fraud. After you pay, then you will get the car. You can look at it and then make a payment. I am going to start the bid at 10,000. I will also have an option to buy immediately at 12,500. This is a little lower than Kelly Blue Book for this vehicle make model and condition. Let me know if you have any questions. I really really love this car. I'm sad to sell it. Miranda |

Volvo demos autonomous self-parking car concept
Thu, 20 Jun 2013A number of companies are developing autonomous vehicle technology - Google and Audi come to mind - but Volvo is applying its work in the area to a particular usage case: parking. The Swedish automaker has the technology up and running in a concept vehicle, which it says can be dropped off at the curb by its owner and left to its own devices to enter and navigate a car park, then find and park in an available parking spot. Volvo says the process can even be reversed when the owner is ready to go, with the car leaving the car park on its own to meet its key-holder again at the curb.
The vehicle first interacts with Vehicle 2 Infrastructure technology, which places transmitters in the road itself to inform the car (and driver) if the self-parking service is available. The driver then hops out, activates the Self Parking function on his or her smartphone and then leaves the car to do its work. The car uses sensors, all seemingly hidden from view (an advancement of its own in this field), to autonomously navigate the car park, which includes interacting and adjusting to other cars, people and objects.
The technology used here builds off of Volvo's other work in autonomous vehicle research, namely the Safe Road Trains for the Environment (SARTRE) project in which the company managed to create a train of four cars autonomously following a lead truck at speeds up 56 miles per hour. Volvo says the first application of its autonomous research in a production vehicle will happen at the end of 2014 with some level of autonomous steering available in the next-generation XC90. 2015 Volvo Ocean Race XC60 priced from $42,100*
Mon, 10 Nov 2014Every three years, a half dozen or so teams of sailors embark on an epic eight-month, round-the-world sailboat race formerly called the Whitbread Round the World Race and known since 2001 as the Volvo Ocean Race. This year's event started a month ago in Alicante, Spain, and will end next June at the Swedish automaker's hometown of Gothenburg. And to mark the occasion, just as it has in years past, Volvo has launched a special edition of one of its roadgoing models.
The Volvo Ocean Race XC60 was launched this weekend at the Miami Auto Show. Based on the XC60 crossover we know well, the limited edition is distinguished by its Ocean Blue II paintjob, unique 18-inch wheels, a choice of black or light leather interior with orange stitching and a series of special badges inside and out.
Buyers will be able to choose between the T6 Drive-E and T6 AWD models, priced from $42,100 and $43,600 respectively. That represents a $1,200 premium over models on which they're based, on top of which, Volvo has confirmed in correspondence with Autoblog, the usual $925 destination charge applies.
Volvo to use Oz as test bed for more Polestar models?
Tue, 25 Jun 2013We've already told you about the slightly more awesome version of the Volvo S60 that our friends Down Under can now get their hands on. And according to Aussie site Drive.com.au, Volvo may look to the land of Oz for future testing of new, Polestar-tuned, high-performance models.
Volvo has reportedly confirmed that this S60 Polestar run will be an exercise in testing the acceptance of the Swedish tuner's presence as a proper competitor for things like BMW's M division or Mercedes-Benz's AMG. (A tall order, for sure.) "The world is watching this exercise with much interest," Volvo Cars Australia boss, Matt Braid, told Drive.com.au.
Hans Baath, Polestar Managing Director, reportedly hinted that the tuning house had already begun work on a hotter version of the V40 hatchback, but the project was scrapped in order to get the S60 program rolling. If there's success to be found here, this smaller hot hatch could be revisited, as well as a more powerful version of the XC60 crossover.
