2002 Volvo S60 Super Clean Car 78k Original Miles on 2040-cars
Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, United States
The car is still for sale if you are reading this. 2002 Volvo S60 with 78,300 miles. This car is very clean and drives perfect. No accidents or paintwork, clean title in hand. It does not have a turbo and is FWD. It has tan leather with headed seats, power moon roof, winter driving mode, steering wheel controls, cruise, all power and dual climate control. I just put 2 brand new rear tires on with less than 1000 miles and just had the front end aligned. The engine is smooth and the transmission shifts perfect. I purchased it from a local dealer with 58K miles and have not had any problems with it. I recently purchased a more sporty car and is the reason I’m selling the Volvo. The only know mechanical issue is that the sun shade for the moon roof does not slide smoothly. Everything else works perfect. Bring your mechanic if you want, I have absolutely nothing to hide on this car. The inspection is due in 8/14. The asking price is right in the middle between trade in and retail on NADA and is pretty firm. Please only call if you are a serious buyer with cash. If you are going to email, please include BLUE VOLVO in the subject otherwise I will assume it’s spam. Call with any other questions 610.533.57 one five. Low ball offers will be deleted, I’m willing to wait for the right buyer looking for a solid used car. Sorry, no shipping. Cash transaction only in person! |

Volvo uncovers widespread cheating by its Chinese dealers
Tue, 26 Mar 2013According to a report in Reuters, the findings of an internal investigation conducted by Geely-owned Volvo is that its Chinese dealers vastly overreported their sales numbers in 2011, then even more vastly underreported their 2012 sales figures. About "half the dealers" out of the 151 total outlets gamed the system in order to get incentives for reaching volume objectives, falsely recording about 7,000 more units sold than was actually the case. Instead of 47,140 cars sold in China in 2011, the real number should have been 39,871.
Volvo corporate books a sale once it ships a car to a dealer, so that meant there were 7,000 more cars in inventory than there should have been. To restore the balance, the dealers underreported their 2012 sales while they unloaded those extra cars since, naturally, they couldn't claim the sale again. That made it look like sales declined by 11 percent in 2012, even though they actually increased year-on-year. The adjusted sales number for 2012 totalled 45,896.
Volvo has met with its dealers and told them to stop the deceitful practice. The discrepancies weren't so great that the company plans to restate its historic numbers, but from now on, it apparently plans to occasionally check inventory to make sure the numbers match and that it has a true picture of how individual models are selling.
Volvo's Geneva-bound concept wagon looks sexy in a raincoat
Fri, 21 Feb 2014Volvo is set to complete its concept car trilogy at the next month's Geneva Motor Show with the debut of its Concept Estate, the followup to its Concept Coupe from the Frankfurt Motor Show and Concept XC Coupe from the Detroit Auto Show. We've been looking forward to its Swiss debut, and now some teaser images of the Concept Estate have been uncovered... on the website of a raincoat seller?
Yes, Swedish raincoat maker Stutterheim has apparently been commissioned by Volvo to build a high-quality car cover for its Geneva concept, and the fabricator's website shows off some of the details of the long-roofed design study. From what we can see, it looks like the Concept Estate is more shooting brake than traditional wagon. Also, it's brown. So basically, Volvo has built the ultimate car for auto journalists.
Joking aside, the images show off more than a few of the design traits we've seen on Volvo's two previous concept cars. A wide, rectangular grille and lowercase-B-shaped taillights are both noticeable in these teasers, but we can't see much more than that.
Volvo Polestar celebrates STCC title with Black R edition S60, V60 and XC60
Sat, 21 Dec 2013The relationship between Volvo and Polestar was forged - and forges deeper still - on the racetrack, where the latter fields the former's tin-top entries in the STCC, WTCC and V8 Supercars. And based on their success together in touring-car racing, Volvo has had Polestar amp up a number of its production road cars. What we have here is the latest.
This year Volvo and Polestar dominated the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, taking both the drivers' and manufacturers' titles. So to celebrate, Polestar has rolled out a new Black R package for the S60 sedan, V60 wagon and XC60 crossover.
The package includes an upgrade to 329 horsepower for the T6 engine and to 230 hp for the D5, and further enhances with special wheels, a dropped suspension, special sport seats and more. Unfortunately the package is only being offered in Sweden, but you can scope out the details in the press release below and the photos in the gallery above.
