1998 S70 GLT " Only 91K" Well Serviced "Excellent Condition" This is very well cared for 1998 Volvo S70 GLT with only 91K. These cars are very hard to find with this low of mileage. It is also very difficult to find one that has been this well cared for and meticulously serviced. It appears to have always been babied and preserved. It is obvious that the car was always garaged and very well serviced it's entire life. It had the Timing Belt replaced at 70K. New tires 6K ago. The Inerior: is in very very good condition. Non-Smoker car therefore no burns or other wear on the seats or carpet. It has a Automatic Transmission that shifts smooth and firm. It also has ice cold A/C, Factory Stereo, Cruise Control, and all options work as they should. The Exterior: is in very very good condition as well. There is no damage or rust on this car maybe a few rock chips and minor dings that is it. Far less than you would expect for a car this age and you have to get very close to see any. As I said it appears to have always garaged so the paint has nice depth and shine. It also has the Factory upgraded Alloy Wheels with New Tires that do give this car a great look, but everything is stock. This car is ready to go. As a matter of fact they drove the car so little that they would have the oil changed because it had been six monthes and he had only driven it a couple hundred miles. It has the 2.4L. Tubo charged engine with the Automatic transmission witch is a great combination it has plenty of power and performance, and still gets very good mileage. As stated these cars are very hard to find with this low mileage, in this condition. But you know that if you have been looking. This car looks even better in person. 12-year-old golfer wins Volvo for hole-in-one [w/video]

Natasha Oon, a 12-year-old girl in Malaysia, was recently attending the 40th RSGC Ladies Amateur Open Championship at the Royal Selangor Golf Club with her parents. On a whim, she teed up a shot with her eight iron and scored a hole-in-one. That would have been impressive for a girl her age by any standards, but she didn't see the sign that said making the shot also won her a new Volvo XC60 T5. Not a bad prize for a tween who won't be allowed to drive for at least a few years.
So what does any good 12-year-old do with a CUV? Give it to her parents of course. According to website Paultan, she plans on giving the crossover to her mom and told her, "this is the car that you will use to drive me to school every day." Volvo credits China, Europe for first-half profitability
Fri, 22 Aug 2014If everything goes to plan, Volvo might be showing the first signs of a turnaround after several years coping with old products and a staid image. The Swedish brand is imminently launching its next-gen XC90 SUV on a completely revised, modular platform and using a cutting-edge family of engines, and it has even more products to take advantage of the fresh components on the drawing board. "We are excited about the launch of the all-new XC90, which marks the beginning of the re-launch of the Volvo brand," said CEO Håkan Samuelsson in the company's announcement. In the meantime, the business is moving back to profitability and is even forecasting growth through the rest of 2014.
In Volvo's recently released financial and sales results for the first six months of the year, volume was up 9.5 percent to 299,013 cars. On top of that, operating income reached 1.21 billion Swedish krona ($175 million) after posting a loss in the same period in 2013. Net income was also improved to 535 million Swedish krona ($77.4 million), which was also a reversal from a negative last year.
With these great results, Volvo is now forecasting 10 percent sales growth worldwide by the end of the year, and the key to it is a booming market in some regions. China, home to parent company Geely, was up 34.4 percent first half of the year. It's now Volvo's biggest market in the world and helped by exclusive models like the S60L (pictured above) and S80L. "We are growing our presence in China and we expect to sell at least 80,000 cars there this year," said Samuelsson in the company's forecast.
Volvo teases mysterious new small crossover
Thu, 16 May 2013The image you see above is just about all we know of the new Volvo crossover that will be revealed at 8:30 pm Central European Time on May 17 (2:30 pm Eastern Standard Time). Volvo released three very short video teasers, all with the tagline "Leave The World Behind," all of which feature a member of the now-defunct band Swedish House Mafia - Axwell sits in a boat in the first, Sebastian Ingrosso walks toward cabin in the second and Steve Angello stares at the sea in a third.
A microsite, www.leavetheworldbehind.com, accompanies the teasers and it's been said that a short film by Lune will feature the band - Swedish Mafia had a hit in 2009 with the song Leave the World Behind. As for the vehicle, theories are that it could be something between the V40 Cross Country and XC60, the new XC90 or something else entirely. We don't have long to wait, and you can watch both teasers below.
