This is a 2013 Volvo XC90 SUV with one owner and only 9900 miles!  It is a gorgeous car with all the Volvo safety and style.  It has 7 seats and the back 2 are full size, but you can fold them away for extra storage room.  It also has handsfree bluetooth for your phone and music to play wirelessly on the car stereo, and there is a USB connection in the glove box for your music devices if you don't want to use Bluetooth wirelessly.  This car has a winter package with heated seats and AWD which is great in the snow.

We are the original owners and love this car, but have to sell because we are moving overseas.  It has been inspected in July 2013 and has never had any mechanical problems.  This car has been repaired twice at the dealer from minor incidents.  A deer dented the rear, driver side door panel, which was replaced.  I backed it into a metal gate, and the back bumper was replaced and back tailgate was repaired.  All the repairs were done by Keystone, the same dealer we bought the car from in Berwyn, PA.

We cannot deliver the car to you, so you must plan to pick it up in Malvern, PA.  This car must be sold soon, as we are moving!  Please be sure you can pay and pick up the car within 48 hours of winning this auction.  If you can't, please do not bid on this car.  We accept a certified bank check for payment.

Thanks, and please don't hesitate to email us with any questions or to see the car!

Volvo studying test of electric roads in Sweden

Tue, 27 May 2014

Volvo already announced the results of a study of wireless charging using a stationary C30, and now it's embarking on a more ambitious study of wireless charging involving moving city buses. Next year, in conjunction with the Swedish Transport Association, Volvo will build a section of electric road up to 500 meters long that would use inductive charging to refill the batteries while the bus drives over it.
Right now, the company's Hyper Bus diesel hybrid has to stop to plug in and charge at the end of its route. The company is looking for a way to keep buses in service while being able to run on electric power for greater lengths of time. The new line used for the study will be called ElectriCity, and will come online in central Gothenburg sometime in 2015. There's a press release below with more information.

Geely to release models developed with Volvo in 2015

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

Geely and Volvo will finally team up for a jointly developed vehicle, more than three years after the safety-minded Swedish brand was gobbled up by Geely's parent company, according to a report in Automotive News Europe. The story quotes Geely's CEO, Gui Sheng Yue saying, "We have entered into actual research and development stage and I believe we can see the new product in the year after next."
That means 2015, which is a mighty ambitious timetable to bring a vehicle to market. But as Geely's CEO explains, life isn't going to get any easier in the Chinese market, "Competitive pressure on domestic brands in the China market should increase considerably in the coming years as most major international brands are strengthening their presence," he told ANE. Those statements also tell us that we shouldn't expect to see Geely on American shores any time soon. The brand is simply too focused on topping the Chinese market, at least among CDM brands.

Volvo offers up more details on 2015 XC90 and its new infotainment system

Tue, 03 Jun 2014

We have more details on the 2015 Volvo XC90 and the all-new, touch-heavy infotainment system that will debut with it. An expansion of the Sensus system, as we've shown you before, we now know the new system won't only sport a large, vertically oriented touchscreen, but a head-up display and the ability to manage the systems via wheel-mounted buttons.
Key to the entire experience are the large, portrait-oriented touchscreen, a head-up display and the thumb controls you can see on the face of the steering wheel in the image above. Volvo is claiming that this combination will be easier to use and, fittingly for the Swedish manufacturer, safer.
"Using the screen is so logical that it will become part of your muscle memory very quickly," said Dr. Peter Mertens, Volvo's senior vice president of research and development. "Information, navigation and media are high up and easy to check. The phone controls, application icons and climate controls are located low, comfortable to reach and touch. All of this logic is based on extensive usability and user experience research and the latest technology."
