Needs a little work but runs great, daily driver.  Start off with the goods:  Healthy B18C1 GSR motor, GSR transmission, reliable car and cold a/c  Never gets hot,  GSR seats with a couple rips.  Nice wheels, 4 wheel disc brakes and rides nice.  It has 2.5 inch exhaust with headers but stock muffler.   Five speed with good clutch, no grinds or pop outs.  Has power windows, power locks, sunroof, no check engine light and a clean title in my name. Negatives. Semi matching steel hood.  I drive it everyday and have no reliability problem.  It has a new front genuine honda hub, wheel bearing and the outside tie rod end was replaced.  Normal maintenance.  It's had an oil change, a transmission oil change recently.  I have receipts for the maintenance that has been done.  It has the back cover and it has a spare tire and jack.  It comes with an AEM cold air intake but I just run the high flow air filter as to not get water in the engine but comes with the car.  It has a few dings from hail but not too many.  No Check engine light. It doesn't leak on the ground as I park in the same covered parking spot every night outside my apartment.  I work 5 minutes from work so there is no point in having a car.  I'm planning on buying a motorcycle either an older Harley or Ducati. If you have questions, let me know or if there is photos you want, let me know.  If you are local, I can arrange for you to test drive if you come to my area of town.  It hasn't been lowered, it rides nice and hasn't had much modification except when they put in the GSR motor, they didn't have a GSR power steering bracket so the power steering is still attached but not usable right now because it needs the bracket and belt.  I would of replaced it but I work odd hours and they sell them here on EBAY.  I'd buy one but its not hard for me to turn and I just work so close.  Deposit is due immediately after the auction and full payment within 48 hours or I will let EBAY know you're a non paying bidder.  People under 10 positive feedbacks MUST email me or I reserve the right to cancel and block your bid, this is not a game, this is a real auction for a real nice car.

Acura recalling 43k MDX and RLX models over seatbelt issue

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

If you've ever lived in a wintery climate, you may have noticed something strange: no, not the perilously enticing sparkle of cold metal in the sunlight or the way your warm breath suddenly becomes visible in the frigid air, but the way your seatbelt seems increasingly reluctant to retract as the temperature drops. Acura, however, has found the problem more serious than a minor inconvenience, and is recalling some 43,000 vehicles across the United States to address the issue.
The recall in question affects about 7,000 RLX sedans (from the 2014 model year) and another 36,000 MDX crossovers (covering the 2014 and 2015 model years) to have their front seatbelts replaced. In the affected vehicles and in very low temperatures, Acura has found that "the driver's and front passenger's seatbelts may not release from the retracted position." Needless to say, seatbelts that can't be used don't offer any protection in the event of an accident, so the Japanese automaker is notifying owners and dealers to hook up to have those seatbelts replaced.

NHTSA gives okay for three automakers to skirt tire-related recalls

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

BMW, Honda, and Mercedes-Benz are all going to avoid small recalls, after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued petitions for "findings of inconsequential noncompliance" to the three manufacturers, according to Tire Business. Basically, the petitions allow the brands to avoid recalls for some very, very minor issues.
BMW had tire placards on 364 X6 M CUVs that stated the car could only handle four passengers, when in reality it had room for three in the back. Actual plausibility of fitting three real humans in the slope-roofed Bimmer aside, the Munich-based manufacturer argued it was inconsequential, as the placards were correct regardless of the number of passengers.
Honda's case focused on 212 2011 and 2012 Acura TSX sedans equipped with 18-inch wheels. The TPMS systems on these cars were set for 17-inch wheels, rather than the larger hoops, but even with the lower settings, the tires maintain adequate load capacity.

2013 Acura ILX 2.4

Going Mainstream Has Its Privileges
Acura's experiment with niche models has failed. Competing in the luxury car business by filling white space with product just didn't work for the Japanese automaker. In place of slow-selling models like its ZDX and quirky first-gen RDX, the mindset at Acura has recently switched to more conventional products with vastly improved volume potential. The redesigned 2013 RDX, for example, sold almost as many units in 2012 as it did in 2010 and 2011 combined, and the all-new 2013 ILX has sold more units each month - since going on sale in May - than Acura sold in ZDXs and RLs in all of last year.
While the redesigned RDX is a crucial product to compete with luxury compact crossovers, the ILX might be the most important new product for Acura, as a growing number of premium makes are starting to realize the importance of upscale entry-level compact cars. Ironically, this segment was a pivotal part of the brand's success in the 1980s and '90s thanks to the Integra, but Acura completely abandoned the genre when it killed off the RSX coupe in 2006. The addition of the ILX not only gives Acura a competitive small car again, it also drops the brand's entry price by almost $5,000.
