Up for sale is one black 65 Riviera.  One of the most beautiful cars ever designed in detroit.  If you love Rivs...you'll love this one.  She runs great, drives well, sits right and sounds good. I have owned this car for over 3 years and dropped a ton of money into it.  I have kept it in the garage and took very good care of it.  She always starts and cruises with ease.   It has the big 425 nailhead, and switch pitch auto trans.  Power windows work.  I keyed the doors and the trunk so two keys open everything. The lights work, the blinkers work and I spent a bunch of money to get the AC and Heat working.  It has a recent tune up with a petronix kit.  New 120 amp alternator, new fuel sending unit.  New fuel pump. The paint is newer (last 5 years I guess).  I had the brakes checked and fixed when needed, I also had OPG lowering springs put in to give it the "right" stance.   The fuel system was rebuilt and gas tank pulled and cleaned too.  The carb was professionally rebuilt.  The carpet is maybe a year old and the seats and the rest of the interior maybe 5 years.  The dash was cut for a stereo when I got it, so I put in an aftermarkte deck with aux input, a 10"sub woofer, and kicker amp.  I built a fake wall in the trunk to keep the install as clean as possible.  I cleaned up the trucnk and POR 15 it for good measure.

I talked to the original builder at good guys and he told me the engine was rebuilt and fresh.  I had mechanics confirm.  No rust that I can find. Great condition underneath.   A very good car that I can drive daily if I wanted or park it at the show and get a ton of attention. The car is 50 years old and not without fla...if it was perfect I would list it for $25000.  I have babied this car, and kept it in great condition and it has done very well for me. Call text or email Erick at 480-747-7890  interested it trades and offers...want cash though cause I have another car to build for the wife.

I am adding this line for more pics as so many of you have asked for more.  There is even a quick video that seems to big to email.  This is a photo bucket album address photobucket.com/65riv

Buick Envision spied fully disrobed in China

Wed, 27 Aug 2014

The Buick Envision crossover is supposed to have its big reveal on August 28 and be on display at the Chengdu Motor Show, but apparently the new midsize crossover just can't wait to meet its public. Car News China caught a completely undisguised example parking outside of the convention center where the show is held.
The Buick designers are going right down the middle with the styling with nothing too flashy to turn off potential buyers. Still, it's a handsome CUV that kind of looks like a stretched Encore from some angles with vents along the hood, a large greenhouse and a prominent crease running down the side.
This new midsizer is hitting the Chinese market first and reportedly rides on GM's Delta platform that's also found underneath the Buick Verano. According to Car News China, prices there are between 160,000 yuan and 220,000 yuan ($26,000 - $35,800 at current rates). However, it's also rumored to eventually make its way across the Pacific to give Buick buyers in the US an option between the Encore compact crossover and larger Enclave.

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.

Next Buick Regal coming in 2017, could be imported from Germany

Sun, 03 Aug 2014

The Buick Regal is based on the Opel/Vauxhall Insignia, a pair of sedans from General Motors' European and British outfits. In fact, over 46,000 Regals from model years 2010 and 2011 were screwed together on the same lines as the Insignia twins, before GM's Oshawa, Ontario factory took over production fully. Considering this closeness, rumors that claim the next-generation Regal - due for 2017 - could move back to Europe aren't terribly surprising. Here's why, according to Automotive News.
Oshawa is home to three other vehicles, aside from the Regal - the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala rental queen and the Cadillac XTS. We already know next-gen Camaro production is headed to Lansing, MI, and that the fleet-only Impala will (finally!) die in 2016. As for the XTS, as AN explains it, sales are so slow that GM will either kill it or just shuffle its production volume elsewhere.
Taken along with the fact that Unifor, the Canadian labor union repping workers at the Oshawa factory, claim GM hasn't made any guarantees about future production at the nearly 60-year-old factory, it seems fairly clear that the Regal's current factory is going to be put out to pasture.
